Recently learned that more souls go to hell even though they were not bad people. I assumed wrongly that only bad people like murderers went to hell and that more people got to heaven. I have much work to do like stop wasting time, say lots more prayers and do more charity. To whom much is given much is required and I have been very blessed.

@@Jcr2446 Well, good people can't go to hell. If you end up in hell is because you've been malicious, specially concerning your lack of charity. In other words, it means you thought in your life that you had a right to sin, that a sin of yours wasn't a sin, that to love or to love more, or to love more truly, was just silly. The worst sin, the demonic sin, is pride, and we're filled with it today. Pride makes you live under the statement "my will be done!", and that will in the end lead you to sin and to not love (it leads to bitterness and frustration, certainly!), and definitely to reject God either formally or in the practice.

God is love & mercy. He does not send us to hell. He gives us free will. When we choose to turn away from Him, we choose the devil. There is no middle ground. We freely choose evil & freely choose hell.

God does not send anyone to Hell. People freely choose damnation based on their own free will. From 1 Timothy 2:3-4: “For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.” He wants us to repent and invites all to repentance: “Come now, let us set things right, says the LORD: Though your sins be like scarlet, they may become white as snow; Though they be red like crimson, they may become white as wool” (Is. 1:18).

Oh, how I cracked up at 7:30 with a beautiful imagination of the high authority of The Lord, a depiction of a conviction that is truly Godly and not vain: "What is He doing, is He a madman?" LOL... This was a welcome joke in the midst of this very serious message. Our Lord gave us humor as well. I love Him! Hope the Lord guides me towards a more and more Holy Life. We only met about a year ago... I have so much to make up for: many years of living a hedonist lifestyle, being unaware of the existence of God. Not even a minute in.. I hear the words "the just man scarcely shall be saved" from St. Peter according to this person who isn't a priest from my memory not saying anything against him.. not sure if he's a monk, "brother", deacon.. honestly idec he always has good to say and bring forth.. but coincidentally at this time right now I hear these words.. and I'm searching for deeper meaning.. but at the surface makes one feel like their fighting an impossible battle.. and thats very discouraging.. and maybe that's all the point is.. maybe I will burn in hell for forever because I'm not even a just man... I do not believe God sends people to Hell It is when people reject God love and willfully choose evil that they are choosing Hell, whether they know it or not. Even then, God loves all souls and wants all saved. Show the responsibility we have to pray for conversions and make reparation

@@CatholicMailman There are multiple times in the Bible which talks about God casting people into hell. I understand where you’re coming from it’s true sinners are sent to hell because they reject God’s grace but God is the Judge who sends them there. Otherwise he wouldn’t be a judge. God technically speaking has the power and freedom to forgive anyone regardless of their choices or disposition but he won’t because he is as Just as he is merciful. Those who reject God’s mercy won’t receive it. And he will indeed cast them into hell himself by his own judgment.

Separate the physical from the spiritual. Give up physical comforts and goods in order to build up treasure in Heaven. The treasure in Heaven is also: prayer, fasting and almsgiving. Jesus tells us when you pray, when you fast, and when you give alms. We can also unite our sufferings with those of Jesus and offer them up for the salvation of souls - this is called Redemptive Suffering.

For everyone- Only sin can keep us from the love of God. Being fearful or weak does not send us to hell. We must confess our sins to a priest so we can receive grace from God needed to not commit that sin again as the demons will come back 7 fold. Our God is so merciful but to whom much is given, much is required. He is a jealous God and He wants what he wants. As our judge, we cannot presume upon His mercy but we must get to confession often and do lots of charity. Charity washes away a multitude of sins

God doesn’t send anyone to hell. A person ultimately sends themselves there. We have free will. Given to us by our Lord. Jesus said if you love me keep my commandments. He also said the gates of heaven are narrow and to hell are wide. And that many would enter. One would enter by not keeping the commandments. Live a righteous life. Keep Love of God and neighbor ( not your literal neighbor but all of humanity) in your heart always. This is how you enter through the narrow gates. Now if I may… Oh my Jesus,forgive us our sins. Save us from the fires of hell. Lead all souls to heaven. Especially those most in need of your mercy. Amen. 🙏 ✝️

May I say; that God does not send souls to Hell. We can put ourselves there. The church provides all the sacraments to strengthen the soul. Nevertheless, I agree we must fight. Yet listen to Jesus first, not his servants whom he blesses. What does Jesus say, in his commandments and teaching the centre of his heart is redemption. We must certainly turn from the world and get up and follow Jesus along the narrow way, the narrow gate. We are weak and pretty useless. That is our starting point. ' I am the vine, you are the branches: He that stays in me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit: for without me you can do nothing John 15:5. Jesus desires souls to be saved and not lost. If we live in fear of losing our lives to hell we will become stuck! Get up and follow Jesus. Do the stations of the cross and walk the Via Dolorosa! I am obliged to live without friends and in part family because I choose the narrow way. It was never gonna be easy. Make this Lent a new start. God send his message through an ancient collection of books in a language that majority of humans don't speak. Through ages the books get translated and retranslated many times and various interpretations of these books arise. On top of that, there are also several other religions with similar claims about God's word and makes up their own rules as to what may please God. Most of the people believing in these alternate interpretations are doing so in hopes that they are doing the right thing by obeying God. I don't think any devote Muslim, Protestant, Hindu, Buddhist, Zoroastrian, Sikh etc are practicing their religion without any logical reason backing their choice. So when human logic can be so susceptible to culture, social constructs, experiences, traumas, geography and education , I can't understand how a just God expects someone to choose the right church from the right religion with the right interpretation of the right version of the scripture inorder to be saved from eternal torment? To me, it seems like an extremely narrow way of looking at faith and spirituality. Despite differences in theology and metaphysics, most religions agree that attachments to sensory pleasures can lead to suffering. I think hell is the consquence of being overly attached to the material world. This version of an infantile God that sends everyone else to hell for being slightly different in their way of worship seems like spiritual vanity to me.
