Thank you Father. Perilous times. Very strange, difficult world now for older folks.

God Still punishes sinners today. It is completely politiccally correct Fr. Sin carries with them consequences. Hosea Says "I will return to My place until they pay for their guilt". I think its Proverbs that says: "Pain chases evil from the heart".

Evil is the absence of a due good. moderation is lacking for me especially with food
@CIST32 сағат бұрын
You have to practice moderation. Every time you limit yourself, you conquer that demon. In other words, you get stronger and stronger. Try slowly, by cutting out the processed stuff first and then little by little fewer meals per day.

So, if I understand this correctly, being wounded by others keeps us from a relationship with God. So God gives someone a particularly difficult life and then abandons them to deal with the fallout alone, but if He blesses someone with a good life, He stays close to them even though they don't need Him as badly? How is this just?
@sueadauctus33063 сағат бұрын
He never abandons the faithful. And i think Fr meant you need to handle the suffering rightly (God, what do You want me to get out of this?) to keep the relationship right and bring out good.

He’s an exorcist, he’s mentioned some of the holiest people he’s met were severely wounded by others and through the healing process grew closer to God than most people attain
@legiomariae49613 сағат бұрын
@mine8771 you did not understand this correctly. He will never abandon you. God willed us into existence and maintains our existence by His constant love. If God stopped thinking of you for even a nano-second, you would cease to exist. Your existence means He is actively thinking of you in this very moment. If you struggle He will help you. If you are wounded, and you are willing to work through the healing process, you will have an even greater union with God than if you were not wounded in the first place.

The more you suffer, the closer God is to you. St Catherine of Siena Jesus, Mary, Joseph, all saints suffered. So who are we?

@toussaintmaxwell8071 The Catholic Church does say so. I spread the truth. A smoking gun is found retrospectively in the book "The Plot Against the Church."
