Hi all. I'm a 43 year old guy who was just admitted in graduate school (by my bosses' pressure). I am in a Seminar about Pure and Natural Sciences (Hard Sciences). I must prepare a conference about "Science and Religion". I am going to focus in Saint Thomas Aquinas' Way of Efficient cause. Much of my homework is based on Fr. I will dedicate my PhD thesis to Our Lady of Sorrows. God bless you all.

I learned to say the Rosary since I was 9 years old. After work, my father used to take my sisters and I to say the Rosary and the Station of the Cross in houses in the neighborhood. One of us, carried a crucify, other, a bouquet of flowers, other, a candle and the other, a Rosary. We used to do this daily for many years. Many people got converted to Catholic. Amazing how disciplined we were growing up....6am get up morning prayer...12 midday pray ...6pm pray supper...Saturday 5pm Confession ....every morning 7am Holy Mass....every Sunday 8am Holy Mass .....old fashion Catholic way....then the world came in
@Seliz46310 ай бұрын
The world has always been like this. Maintaining a disciplined prayer life has always been attacked. I think it’s a mistake to imply that there was sometime in the past where evil had less influence. These are issues that every generation has to confront and commit to, it’s always the same then and now. And Christ has already won, same today as back then. No point romanticizing the past rather than just doing what needs to be done today.

@@Seliz463 How do you know "what needs to be done today" when you dismiss an elder trying to teach you from the past? You didn't get to live in that past. Culture CAN deteriorate over time, civilizations DO rise and fall... It is important to REMEMBER that a community CAN enforce social norms and disciplines that are GOOD...such as no phonecalls or friends during the dinner hour. That's how our whole community lived! Dinner time was sacred. Sunday a.m. was sacred. The elderly, clergy, and especially parents, were honored.
@katdunn793410 ай бұрын
@BitsyBee it's easy for someone who hadn't lived the past that you have to make generalizations about it. It's pretty sad. The discipline was stronger back then. That was more expected and taught. People have generally become lazier. More worldly things to occupy the mind and more things to be coveted. Yes, the world has always had these problems, but these days they are greater, and that is why so many are lost and away from God. Romanticism of the past is just a phrase as far as I'm concerned. There are things from the past that are to be cherished and brought forth into the future. Once we let some things slip, it's very difficult to bring back some of the glory that used to be.

@danielbond3298 the Bible was put together by Catholic bishops and different councils about 400 years after Christ. Chapters & verses were added in the early 1200’s by an Archbishop named Stephen Langton. I see your comment all over Catholic KZbin’s. Since the Catholic Church put the bible together, I’m sure we know how to interpret it. Yes look up who put the Bible together in your local library, encyclopedia or just google it. Look up who started your Church. Go visit the exact spot in Bethlehem where Jesus was born, it’s a Catholic Church. Go visit the exact spot where Jesus was Crucified, it’s also a Catholic Church.

To thoes who lost their spiritual path or connection: Please start saying the grace before eating with our father Hail Mary, Arch Angel Micheal, say it loud as if you are talking to someone across the table gradually you will see the miracle ❤Here is why? When you say it loud speacilay when you are at home the walls that surround you will observe the Energy and as you are eating your mind will be more consumed with the satisfactory of the prayer and the food and other things will be less into your mind and each time you feel other things is coming back as you eat in your mind pray Hail mary or AA Micheal prayer.. when you eat food without praying or blessing you consume/invite Evil 😈 into your body and everything start from food. That's why when you fast and pray that Demon gets weak and looses it's power... Trust me if you don't want to fast at least pray... Try to do the prayer in public and any gathering. If someone made a fun of you , it's great because then you know who is being lead by Demon so either you can help the person or get distance from that person...Because devil would do anything to humilit us 😮then if you feel comfortable casually you can say that by doing the prayer you keep the devil out from your body, soul and home...oneday that person may do the same or may come and talk to you about it , we never know when are we supposed to help people in Jesus's Name. One more thing when you walk or seating in your car pray , pray, pray,...do Rosary daily and 3 o'clock prayer ..Anytime you have hard time say Rosary prayer ..These are miracle prayers ... trust me it works !

I actually had that happen to me once...just walking along, then crossing the sandy railroad tracks through a small clearing in the brush on the California Coast near Davenport, and 3 seconds -- and I mean three seconds, 3 steps later a Train goes zipping behind me. I turned and could see the stunned look of amazement on the Engineer's face. I most likely had that same incredulous look on my face when we locked eyes. I remember thinking, I didn't hear a train whistle or even metal upon metal as the train wheels ran across the tracks. Another instance my Guardian Angel needs to be recognized and thanked for saving my life when I was too oblivious of what was going on in my surroundings. Where would I be without the Grace of God? 😅🙏✝️🕊❤

One of hardest obstacles for me is fatigue, when im tyred it's sometimes really hard to concentrate, pray and meditate. But i give to God all that i have at that moment, i ask for help, and compation for my situation and my weaknesses. It is life long road to perfection, and strugle is what it will always be, not only because i have to battle with my self , but sometimes i feel like whole army of eveil spirits is doing all that i don't pray. Thank you Fr. Rippenger for your teachings, it helps so much, you are a blessing to whole world. And thanks to Gabi's channel for posting this gem! God bless you all!

Start saying constantly the following prayer recommended by Fr Ripperger : «Demon of despair and of depression bind you in the name of jesus and command you to stop tormenting my body my mind my body and my soul and go to the foot of the cross and receive your sentence there. By the power of the precious blood of my Lord Jesus Christ i protect myself» You could say throughout the day a simpler version, something like «Demon of despair depression and fear i bind you in the name of jesus»

I had a wonderful nun by the name of sister Lisa Marie when I was 13 and in eighth grade who said. “ this year at this age is your last chance to master self discipline, if you fail to master it this year, you will never have it”. I’ve had an attraction to wisdom at a very early age (6), I’ve kept words of wisdom close to my heart and memory.
@Michael-vf2mw10 ай бұрын
Interesting. Was that just that particular nun's experience that there was something key about the age 13? Or is there some research actually supporting this idea? That's interesting that that's right about the time most cradle Catholics get confirmed.

@@Michael-vf2mw Hi Michael, The Catholic Sacrament of Confirmation is usually given a bit later, in the 10th Grade of high school, at approximately age 16. (I can't comment on Sister LisaMarie's remark about mastery of self-discipline by age 13.) Best regards, LM.

Setting alarms on our phone is a great way to keep the prayer times dedicated.. Especially for the Auxilium Christianorum prayer times and I have added a 4th prayer time during the day for the Auxilium Christianorum members at 3pm.... (Fr. Ripperger states prayers at 6am, Noon and 6pm). I found those times were not enough! And Jesus deserves prayer at 3pm, so I've added the Angelis prayer as well at the 3pm prayer time. At 6am prayer. I have 3 alarms set, one at 5:57, 6:00 and 6:03! To make sure I actually don't fall back to sleep during my prayers... 🙏✝🩸📿🌹 Keep Praying a Good Day! Amen

I pray from the morning till night. I go to Confession weekly and receive Holy Communion several times a week. I am home bound; therefore, I live in solitude and prayer. I also moderate for the Franciscan friars Holy Hour from 3:45PM until 5:20PM daily, except Sunday when the Holy Hour begins at 4:00PM. I love giving Alms, especially to those who could not repay me, but they always tell me they will pray for me for which I am deeply grateful. Saint Teresa of Avila says,”God alone suffices.” I always want to pray. I only eat two meals per day, and nothing between meals. I want to be closer to God through Mary. At the same time, I am completing another 33 Day Total Consecration to Jesus through Mary! I live in the world, but not of the world! I cannot go to daily Mass, but I watch it online. I also try often to adore Jesus in the Most Blessed Sacrament! To Jesus through Mary! All for the Immaculate! ❤ ❤Jesus and Mary❤
