We should not be dogmatic about uncertain things. When someone says there is no "rapture" they must be more specific. I grew up Catholic and I know many saved believers in Jesus Christ which I think the speaker here likely is. But many die on the hill of the end times and polarize believers especially when they make absolute declarations where there is mystery in the bible. If there is no Millennial reign of Jesus Christ then why would you believe there is going to be a resurrection? If you do believe in the resurrection then what happens to those that are alive and remain that are believers in Jesus Christ at the time of the Resurrection? They are caught up after the saints are resurrected. That is the event many have named the "rapture". To say there is no rapture you must say you do not believe what the bible says because the bible says this: 1 Thessalonians 4:15-17 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words. People must study the bible for themselves and ask God to reveal His truth to them personally. Ask for wisdom and He will give it. Let God be true and every man a liar. Follow Jesus not the Pope.

The Difference the is THE Rapture and a Rapture. When Protestants refer to ist, they often mean a pretribulational Rapture.

Father, I am unsure what you mean when you say the Church does not believe in the teaching of the rapture. The church doesn't use that term, but surely the Church believes in its meaning. From the Latin Vulgate: For this we say unto you in the word of the Lord, that we who are alive, who remain unto the coming of the Lord, shall not prevent them who have slept. 4 15 For the Lord himself shall come down from heaven with commandment and with the voice of an archangel and with the trumpet of God: and the dead who are in Christ shall rise first. 4 16 Then we who are alive, who are left, shall be taken up together with them in the clouds to meet Christ, into the air: and so shall we be always with the Lord.
