So I got this a couple weeks ago. I very much hate that you have to have the power cord plugged in to have the light. I thought it was a charging type thing. It is very limiting. I would not recommend. Everything else is perfect but, it is limiting to a fault.

They changed the design since this, with the phone mount no longer screwing to the base but instead just flimsily sitting in a slot with nothing holding it in place but gravity. Terrible design, I have no idea why they did that but I'll be sending my back.

My daughter bought this thing for me, and it was okay at first, but soon the lock knob in the center couldn't be locked, so I couldn't adjust the height and low when I wanted to shoot, and if I wanted to shoot high, I had to use something to hold it, which was very troublesome

Just got this one. If your ring light is to the side (using a computer) and it causes a shadow, where should you put it? Behind the computer or cell phone always or better behind you? What if you are 10-15 ft away from the video when recording, the light is still best behind the computer or cell phone that is recording? I film yoga videos so sometimes am far away (wall is behind me so can't put light behind me) and sometimes leading meditations at the computer (close). Thanks.
