How can you sick a dog on someone and not expect them to fight back? It's their fault for even involving dogs in situations like that. Search and Rescue okay, but criminal apprehension? HECK NO! I've seen videos of people being torn up by police dogs, it's not like they stop the attack when the person submits, the dog will just keep going until the cop catches up which could take how long? And even then sometimes they have to physically pull the dog back by force. How can you expect anyone to stay still and submit while being attacked by an animal? I have only seen it happen once and that's because an ANA was getting huffy with the handler. You shouldn't blame the handler for the animal acting out. Though like you said people attacked by K9's get really badly hurt, The more hurt you are the more you can sue for.

@@yamother8088 I literally work with people who train police dogs, schutzhund dogs, and other working dogs on a daily lmfao, and I own PPD belgian malinois myself if you couldn't tell from my profile picture. Bad trainers will train the dogs to cause damage, however, police dogs are almost always trained to only hold the suspect in place. You can train a dog to control their bite force.

Just because it's "the law" that a K-9 police dog is considered a cop after training doesn't mean that they are above any human life. It's an animal that is incapable of making rational decisions. I've seen videos of these so called cops sic their dogs on suspects who surrendered with their hands up so I am all against police dogs. For the most part the suspects were black who did little to nothing to get this treatment. If the person in this video was white this discussions and video would cease to exist.
