If I walk into the house and instead of her little happy dance, she runs out of the room and shoots under the bed, I know I'll find out what she did any second now. We don't actually get angry with her, she just do s this.. but yeah.. pets *can* display guilt XD Looking away is a signal to try to get you/someone to calm down though. :)

She is happy to see them too (interested nuzzling here and there with calmer puppies) Her stance is clearly dominant, she rewards the bahavior she wants, and the puppies signals are submissive. I should also say this, I was wrong to say "parents" my Father turns out, is a bipolar schizophrenic. My Mother was being abused emotionally and physically by him until Thanksgiving of last year where he tried to kill my Mother and failed so I walked in on that. He was released because of his age and COVID could kill him. My Mother apologized and took responsibility for what she did when I had to clean her wound. I say that because the hospital didn't deep clean her wound so I had to clean the turkey meat and dead flesh off the wound. So again. I am doing A LOT better now than I was last year 😂

Animals may not have many words (at least doesn't seem like it) but the body language is subtle. At 1:40 when the puppy is coming she stops moving and slightly raises her lips while looking "up", she's just about to growl, and it's enough for the puppy to back away.
