The whole Ruination arc is about parallelisms. Lucian and Senna as a parallel couple to Viego and Isolde. Viego and Gwen as parallel povs about life and death created by Isolde. Viego, the villain, as a parallel to Akshan, the hero. For Lucian/Viego they also released a comic you can found in the Universe page. The first issue is pretty clear, there's one narrator talking about love but paneles switch from one couple to the other.

Sentinel Graves has an interaction to Olaf where he calls him a "LARGE MUSKY BARBARIAN" which implies that Graves is flirting with Olaf. So the "Northman" in mentioned in the story is most likely Olaf since he's the only guy Graves flirted with who came from Freljord which the North part of Runeterra.
