@@geok9765 Weapon switching is the same as reloading, you can't auto attack during the weapon swap, and your weapons do have limited ammo so you WILL end up swapping your weapons, making you unable to auto attack for a short time.

I think Vars is underselling how versatile graves is in the jungle. It’s not just about build and runes, it’s also about play style. He’s not just a strong scaling champion and power farming jungler, he’s strong early and can beat most junglers 1v1 which allows him to invade. He’s one of the few junglers that you’ll see gank at level 2 because he has one of the strongest level 2 power spikes in the game. He can split push and team fight, and of course, he can power farm. Being so unpredictable makes it very difficult to play against him, but the graves player has to understand what combination of runes and items and pathing is required to win a game, which helps explain why challenger players have such high win rates and bronze graves players have such low win rates

Graves IS the carry jungle; tho he's so hard you can simply play kayn, hyper farm, and basically do the same BUT graves has a lil problem compared to the other carry junglers. Kindred: he's hard as fuck but scales very very safely and has a lots of dashes to not get fucked, he also can get "fed" with marks; and his ult is very very strong even if you're 0/10 Kayn: like kindred he has very safe scaling and an almost impossible to screw up gank, even if it doesn't end in a kill, then after getting red (because blue is useless rn) you're just immortal. Then, what does graves miss?... UTILITY AT ALL and a non interactive way to farm; you HAVE to invade you HAVE to gank you HAVE to outfarm and you HAVE to win 1v1 to be usefull; he's hit or miss, no way in the middle; and since he's a melee you get in a kinda toxic place where Graves won early: "lol i dash in oneshot everything that moves and have 300 armor" Graves lost early: "i cannot even kill my raptors!, why?!" Graves is broken because he's an hypercarry who can fuck half the jungle early game; but you have to be ahead or you'll be outscaled very very easily

Hecarim and Graves are what I call "Toolbox" champions, because they provide a good amount of everything essentially, therefore good players are extremely strong because they can utilize everything he has to offer properly, and bad people still can do well because his kit is simple enough and provides enough simply utility to make it possible to play even if the pilot is bad

You can also kill lane graves if he runs out of mana. Nobody ever thinks of it bc he is mainly a jungler, but he has huge mana costs, and his prefered playstile is to perma shove the wave, meaning he will probably have to use 1 q every wave, or every 30 seconds, more if he wants to poke under tower

most lane graves takes presence of mind instead of triumph (if they go precision tree of course), as long as u hit ur auto to ur lane opponent, ur mana will not run out quickly. the only time i would see a lane graves ran out of mana super quick is when he's playing with the standard assassin build where u would go domination for the main tree with coup de grace + alacrity instead of presence of mind + alacrity in secondary tree

Graves is the definition of "no shit all skill." Even when an item becomes OP on him you still have to be mechanically good at Graves to manage his weird hitboxes. He's very easy to learn but very tough to master and while a Silver can play him effectively and get decent farm seeing an incredibly good Graves player is scary.

So, I experienced an interaction with Graves on Teemo the other day. I blinded him then he proceeded to auto me and do less damage than normal. Another two times in the same match I blinded him and he proceeded to auto for less damage on a different champion. Just felt the timing of this video was a well-timed coincidence to alert people about this whether they have the Graves or the Teemo. I believe the Teemo blind only blocks one of Graves' auto attack projectiles instead of all of them.

I fucking adore Graves. He was the reason I downloaded League back when that “A New Dawn” cinematic came out and saw him in that being such a dude. When the jungler change happened it broke my heart because I just couldn’t keep up playing with him in a role I can not stand and seeing him thrown into constant overpowered and underpowered states when before, he was such a reliable and easygoing ADC pick for me. I quit league awhile after that but even to this day, he’s one of my favorite characters ever (not too thrilled with the lore tweaking him into being an absolute idiot/slob storywise but I don’t hate it that much either).

I think it makes sense that Graves is so popular. He's probably the most selfish jungler to ever exist (yes, even above Yi or Karthus), but he's selfish for a reason. There's probably no worse feeling as a jungler than playing vs a decent Graves that has winning lanes. You can't do anything about it, he will choke you out of the game (and not in a sexual way). He can invade you and kick your ass because he takes no damage in the jungle, his damage is dumb early to compensate for his slow reload mechanic, he can nearsight you (god Riot, please I BEG YOU, REMOVE THIS STUPID MECHANIC), has mobility that also makes him tanky, you can't invade back because he most likely cleared his entire jg on respawn due to how fast he farms and on top of that has lane prio. As a jungler, I hate Graves, I hate every time he's remotely good because he's everywhere and god he's the most annoying champion to play against. But as a jungler, I also play Graves. He's a really good soloqueue champion, he's strong at every stage and has the tools to carry any game you do well in

And that's the problem with graves: If i'm playing a support jungle i'm suppose to give up my own farm to gank and pressure lanes. If i'm playing an hypercarry i'm saying "fuck my lanes" and giving up early pressure to carry late, i also have to macro my way to not be invaded and hope my team doesn't fuck up Invades/1v1 junglers are supposed to win early by getting fed or else i'll fall of... THEN GRAVES! He can gank basically everything from 3 screens away pressing w and e, if lanes are behind he can hyper farm and if lanes are ahead he can invade; he can basically do anything alone

Requires practice on playing graves. I too am an asol main but I also play a lot of graves mid. My guess is that your playing him like a ranged character when you more or less just want to get right up into their face. Graves has animation cancels and rythem combined with some good positioning to get those Q bounces off walls. Just takes practice just like Aurelion swole Currently graves is op with hydra rush

you are probably hitting people with your autos from max range and missing some of pellets if you auto someone with graves when you are up close to them every pellet will hit which will make you do 20 to 30% or even more damage than you normally are, like a shotgun in real life the closer it is to the target the more effective it is

I really love playing against Graves as a support, map is perma dark thanks to umbral, i can't facecheck without risking getting smokescreen autoed and ulted instantly dying while getting lung cancer from the smoke. Always felt like graves was a badly designed champ. After watching your video I can only confirm that. Yeah he packs a lot of dmg, but he's more stat-check than anything at the end of the day. Feels like Samira, where they need to snowball really hard early game in order to carry. Cause once they get fed, their numbers are more than enough to burst anything in their field of view, even if they buy resistances. While other jungle champs can still oneshot when even or behind, if the target is not too ahead. If graves is even, it feels like having a 0 kda lee sin at 25min, minus the utility lee can occasionally bring.

graves (as well as kayn) is probably the least favourite jungle to have amongst other super hyper duper playstyle thats all about them and he offers almost nothing for anyone else. its not even a champion issue but the fact that its like 9x amplified by ego (aka their unwillingness to help others unless its something in it for them aka taking all the kills and the whole double wave) makes it a nightmare to have on your team. and to top if of they dont ever do objectives cuz "i couldve done grump by now"

Graves should've stayed an ADC where he belongs. He actually hurts your team as a jungler, he isn't tanky, no hard CC, and he needs kills to be relevant. A kill happy jungler hurts the team the most as a kill for the laner gets them ahead, faster. Far more importantly for a bad matchup for that laner to overcome that.
