the thing is i know lots of people who didn't have issues with the game, it can be a cpu issue as well. Can't keep blaming the engine all the time, even dansgaming sat on 100+ fps in the game, it can be also that dlaa doesent really work properly with some games such as this.

@@RealMephres i didnt say that, I said it can be a cpu issue with just a certain product, you need to read what I say instead of assuming I said something else, its like the Intel 14900 cpu who have heat issues, so you might have undervolt it to get the good performance back and not overheat. and i also mentioned dlaa could be an issue also, certain things in some games doesent work as intended, and that doesent need to mean it's the engine itself.

But perhaps explaining and trying to have a normal conversation is not okay in your book? Both of you have now assumed bs i havn't even said, all i said was it can be a cpu issue, dlaa issue which isn't a bad take to guess and that's the reason you just can't go right away and blame an engine for every problem who exist. This could have happened with any other engine as well, remember new world or even diablo 4? None of them using unreal engine and they messed up 30 series cards and 40 series cards. I think they are making these latest games with upscaling technologies in mind. I immediately set it to max 4K settings on my 4080s with DLSS quality with frame gen. It ran around 80+ FPS, which I knew meant it had hit 60fps before framegen, which meant it would be smooth. Looks amazing, only artefact I noticed in first two hours was some cross hatching on a building from a distance when turned camera.

@@traptinmymind186 Not true. Similar tier Nvidia and amd gpus perform very identical in this game. There's most likely an issue with the benchmark that you uploaded on your channel. I checked plenty of benchmarks like from "techpowerup", "dsogaming" and the 4090 was always 25-30% faster with it hovering in the 50s and the xtx in the 40s at 4k native max settings.

There's no such thing as cut scenes in this game. Is running real time all the time. And it's a UE 5.4 game that uses all its techs. Lumen, Nanite, meta human and so on. Considering the state of other just UE5, this is incredible.

Played it with Game Pass, on my 7800X3D and RTX 2080 equipped PC, in 1440p. Used DLSS quality and a mix of high and medium. Got around 40-60 fps. Glad I own a OLED tv with VRR, to smooth things out. Only had one crash, other than that, I had no problems with bugs. I'm so used to games being broken on day 1, that it felt like black magic 😂

To be fair this is the best looking game at the moment. My arc GPU’s are struggling but 40 ish fps is perfectly playable in game like this. On my 3080 I’m able to get like 75fps with high/medium settings 3440x1440p DLSS balanced.

The highest settings almost never have a great visuals to performance ratio, I'd always check lower settings before talking about poor optimization. I understand people don't want to use optimized settings with a 4080 Super, but it may be the best way to play it at 4K.

Even my old RX 6600 XT card gets 165fps in Battlefield 4 with max settings at 1080p upscaled to 1440p (with AMD Super Resolution). Native 1440p gives around 110fps, and for me the smooth 165fps experience outweighs the slightly "downgraded" graphics. Just ordered a 4080 Super though, so soon i can run considerably better graphics at 165fps, and then i really dont see a reason to not take full advantage of my 165hz monitor.

I use to have 3080 10G and sold it fast after i seen the 10G was not enough even at 1440p gaming. In Ghost of Tsushima or Cyberpunk 2077 you need at least 12G at 1440p.

Yeah I really think the developers optimized the game very well, because you can improve the performance more than most other games if you just turn down the graphics settings, and the game still looks awesome on lower settings. They just wanted to give us an option for ultra high end GPUs with the high settings

I wonder how much higher FPS you would get if you set some key settings down to high, and maybe even lowering 1 or 2 settings down to medium. If you know what settings to lower (like "car reflections" in EA WRC), you can often get a surprisingly big boost to FPS with just a minor loss of image quality.

Downloaded this on PC Gamepass just to test it out on my 3080 10GB. I was shocked that it ran at 1440P Max settings with DLSS Quality between 60-80fps depending on the scene. I may add the FG mod which I've added to several other games this year. Truly a visual showcase. I also finally bought Ghost of Tsushima after watching your benchmarks and that is a beautiful game even though it's from the PS4 era.

RTX4080 (320watts), I used 4K DLSS Balanced at <a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="969">16:9</a> and its still quite sharp, and 60FPS-80FPS without FG, DLSS Quality just isnt enough to drive 60fps always in this in many cinematic cutscenes. Very demanding game, maybe some updates can lift it a bit further over time. Removing some post processing in config enhances sharpness I dropped chromatics to 50% and disabled film grain, I think its the best way to play if you dont want a softer image.

It kicked my 7900xtx ass too, but if I turned the reflection and shadow settings down it’s a very playable at native 4k. If I turn down the resolution to the next lowest as well it seems to be a stable 80fps. I’ve only played like 30 minutes of the game though this is just some tinkering I’ve done to make it a good experience.

@@traptinmymind186 well I have a 7700x so Im not sure if its bottlenecking or not. I havent had any issues with it yet. I've always been at 1440p but just recently jumped up to 4k right before playing this game. I don't much about how this cpu pairs with my gpu (powercolor hellhound)

Actually the VRAM fluctuatest sometimes so 8 gig GPUs can have framedrops in some scenes.

I turn DLSS quality on in every Unreal Engine game because it literally doubles fps in some titles like Hellblade 2.

You already said it Kryzzp, I'd rather have less impressive graphics if it meant better performance. A $1000 gpu and basically a 7800X3D and it cant stay above 60 fps all of the time @1080p native! Wtf man!? Many devs today rely on DLSS+FG so much that now, on a 4k card, these features HAVE to be on @ 4k just to get near 60 fps. Thanx for the vid and telling the truth. I will be skipping this one. Oh darn.

You need to start adding optimized settints to your benchmarks. Most of the time ultra is a complete waste of time. Optimised looks basically the same as ultra when in motion and the higher fps often looks better imo. Youd only know there was a difference if you put them side by side in a still.

I played this at DLSS Quality+FG with 4080, it's the best way to play, it's not a fast paced game so FG issues or latency aren't much of a problem.

tbh if my Graphics car could handle 4k gaming at this level Senua dn Alan Wake 2 would be the only games I would love to play in 4k on Max settings, till now these 2 Games are the only ones to bring the potential of the current engines to the limit and show how gaming could look like in nearly every game in the future, which is insane!

It runs very well on my 3070 so 4070 should be no problems. I'm using 4K with mix of low and medium settings. So if you optimize well, you can make it look good at 4K 60fps. You don't really need higher than 60.
