When you think about it, The CIS is probably the strongest Star Wars Faction. If it weren't for ol' Palpy, the Separatists would have easily crushed the Republic. Despite what the sheer idiocy of the regular Battle Droids may lead you to believe, the other types of droids are more than capable of giving even Jedi a tough time. The Super Battle Droids, the Managaurds, the Droidekas, the Buzz Droids, etc. Most of the CIS's Droids are unique, diverse and powerful. And it's not like there was a shortage if them, oh no. Far from it. On Geonosis alone, factories were churning out these metal monsters by the millions on a daily basis, ready to be deployed straight out of the factory. The total of the Droid Army numbered in the QUINTILLIONS! To compare, The Clone Army numbered in the millions. The CIS could replace new troops in an instant. And that's not even mentioning their leaders, including two Dark Lords of the Sith and a Jedi-Slaughtering Cyborg. I firmly believe that without Palpatine being Palpatine, The CIS would have conquered the galaxy without much hassle.

Not to mention that most of the political leaders were quite wealthy or ran wealthy organisations. B 1 weren't as terrible as many people think ( the only really are in Star Wars: The Clone Wars ) and the there were machines like octupara, hailfire, spider and commando droids. One of their military leaders was a bounty hunter capable of regenaration and if it wasn't for palpatine they could have easily destroyed the republic when they invaded coruscant.

+Armin Reindl The only, I repeat the ONLY reason the Republic was able to defeat the CIS was because Palpatine kept leading the Seperatists into positions where they could be easily taken advantage of. Palpatine let himself be captured by Dooku so Anakin and Obi-wan were able to kill Dooku, paving the way for Vader. Obi-wan's invasion of Utapau was due to Palpatine revealing where Grievous was, leading to the death of the last powerful leader of the Seperatists. In Battlefront 2's campaign, it is essentially stated that by that point, both sides were neck and neck and one powerful blow from either side would be the deciding factor. The CIS didn't lose because they couldn't win. They lost because Palpatine didn't want them to win.

I think you made a great video. I think the CIS is a combo of the Southern States, the Soviet Union and The Axis Powers, after all Palpatine was based on Hitler and the CIS were Palpatine's allies like Hitler's allies were the Axis.

Not sure what you refer to. I don't equate the CIS to the USSR - though in all fairness the alien, rogue nature of the separatist leaders, regardless of politics and money, mark them out something incompatible with the republic. Very vaguely I guess we could draw abstract parallels with the west and the soviets, but personally I think its obvious what is up here; Lucas clearly drew much more from the US Civil War. One more way this is shown is through the 'general rivalry' in the Clone Wars.

Star wars 4 5 and 6 would've been way cooler if the CIS were running the Galaxy with an empire of ruthless droids only capable of carrying out orders thoroughly, I mean has anyone noticed in Star Wars 1 and 2 the clones were a rough rigid and battle hardend army but in the rest they were nothing but pathetic plastic toys, getting their asses kicked by a bunch of immature and undisciplined rebels?
