I like to imagine this is the music that plays when the clone war has ended, the CIS has been dissolved, and the battle droids are all set to be scrapped. And something just breaks in the droids programming. And all the limiters, all the safety protocols, all the chains, vanish. And suddenly the empire learns what it means to face an army that knows no fear and no pain that’s finally fighting for its own sake.

Let's be real for a second, The CIS is by far the best faction in either era! They are extremely numerous, with several being made at any moment in time during the wars, outnumbering the Republic by about 100 droids for 1 Clone. The diversity of their ranks is also impressive, with Battle Droids, Super Battle Droids, Droidekas, Buzz Droids, AATs, even their SHIPS were droids! And, despite what the Clone Wars animated cartoon would lead you to believe, they are FAR from incompetent. They have the capability to drive back an army of Gungans with standard Battle Droids alone! The Droidekas are capable of giving JEDI MASTERS a tough time! And need I mention some of their higher-ups, Dooku, Maul and Jango Fett are just a fewof The Seperatists most powerful members. And let's not forget the commander of the droid army himself, General Grievous, A.K.A The guy who slaughters Jedi on a daily basis! The only reason that they lost was because of Palpatine's influence. Without him, I believe that the CIS could have easily taken down the Republic. The CIS, Stormtroopers that can actually hit their targets.

+Moistah Crabz Yeah, the CIS only really lost due to Palpatine/Sidious choreographing them to lose, though the lack of any actual planet-busting superweapons (e.g. Death Star/Starkiller Base) also hurts them.

They used OOM battle droids for that assault. A model far more tactical. The standard droids in the war were as incompetent as they are portrayed in tcw. The reason is that the OOM droids were far more insufficient when it came to costs. The newer droids were cheap af so it become much easier to mass produce them.

Birbddha CIS lost only because one big problem - their incompetent organic leaders. If they spend much more money on army, with millions of droids-commando, victory will be taken instantly.

There is so much I love about the forces of the CIS, but I think one of the biggest is their variety. We got B1s here if you need to churn em out quick and fast. Oh, need something tougher? Hey no problem, B2 has you covered. What's that? You want better mobility? Hey, nothing more mobile than a Droideka! And if that doesn't suit, we got the BX commandos for special missions. Need them all mobilised and organised? The TX Tactical droids have you there and we'll throw in Super Tactical droids for more versatility. We got Aqua droids for ocean worlds, buzz droids for sabotage, Magnaguards for high ranking officer protection, Crab Droids and Dwarf Spiders for infantry support and those are just the infantry units! The CIS: If you need a big disposable army, why not our one?

+Emperor Valkorion well, in Battlefront 2, there exists a Geonosian who reactivated a droid factory on Mustafar in the campaign in hopes of finishing a prototype super-droid to use against the Empire, with several CIS droids already activated. Since both Rebels and that mission take place before A New Hope, there is a chance that it could happen.

I remember reading a fanfiction of star wars, where the first appreciable difference in canon, is that while fighting general grievous on the invisible hand after killing dooku, Anakin gets shot in the back by a B-1 security droid, opening him up to be killed by grievous, Sidious, furious at the loss of a potential apprentice starts electrocuting the merry hell out of the cyborg, only to die under a flurry of blasterfire by the same droids, with the puppeteer's behind the scenes dead the Clone Wars took on a life of their own. was quite a good story now that I think of it...

The very important thing people seem to forget is actually rather basic: Yes, the seps outnumbered the Republic 10 to 1. The problem? A clone trooper is easily worth ten battle droids, much less the Jedi. (great vid by the way).

Yes but in a long war the cis holds the advantage because it takes what 4-5 years to grow and train a clone maybe you could get that to 3 years at lower standard Where as droids take 1-24 HOURS ( depending on mode part availability and factory size) meaning every dead clone is much much harder to replace than a dead droid

Also there were numerous occasions of units like the BX commandos slaughtering entire squads of clones without casualties. So really the skill debate levels off until jedi appear

Its sort of an Irony how the star wars universe 'at least in the clone wars version'...outright Ignores one of the major advantages droids can have..aka... sure..it might not learn or have the same on location growth possibility intellectualy but....even the most rundamentary blackbox ,means that each new droid..is the combined combat experience of LEGIONS that came before it...and then you have new legions of this amount of experience & improved development potential...that once agen can get condensed into a single frame..and multiplied..its basicly if turned into math a forumela with expentional growth...and considering the star wars universe is more or lees a 'infinitive resources one'..those clone troppers would actually have to been given longetivy improvments and sense enchancing organic cybernetic improvements to have any chance to match ther 'quality' agenst the droids 'quiantity' strategies.

The Droids outnumbered the clone army 100 to 1. The Droid navy had 4 times more warships than the Republic. If Grevious had had any tactical brain in him the separatists could have won easily.

***** also you have to take into account the morale factor. Droids do not have or need morale, they always fight with the same efficiency's. While even the well trained clones do suffer from morale issues. Think, even if you kill 100 droids per every one of your own losses, people will still feel like they lost because they lost a living person, while the enemy only lost rebuild able machines.

And the relation 1-100 was only true at the very beginning of the war, at the end, Republic is far more powerful than it was at clone wars debuts. And Republic destroyers are almost 5 times stronger than separatists ones.
