There most likely wasn’t somebody on the clock during that time because you only pick up I think up to 15 hours a week doing it! I’m not sure how many people do it though

So as a former manager and educator for Sephora (who did not sign an NDA) I can confirm that you are talking to an actual person, but they have prompts and specific answers they can reply with that fit your needs as a client. That's why it sounds so formal and robotic. But no there is deff someone there to read your questions and pick a product based on your needs. The following descriptor and reason why they chose that product however is likely Sephora and lvmh verbiage. There is however a timeout period. For a super in depth one on one you'd want to book a personal assistant appointment at the beauty studio that would be done in person. While the online program is named as a PA service, it's still free and not yours for the entire day and unlimited time.

I think there is a lot of confusion on how the service works which is actually Sephoras fault for not being more clear. Sorry for the misunderstanding, while explaining how it worked I didn't realize it might sound belittling.

The look turned out beautiful (as always)! I used to use dry shampoo prior to working out. Works in that same way a deodorant does. Or for after, look for a dry shampoo that specifies post workout. Ouidad makes a good one. It works on absorbing sweat as opposed to most that work on absorbing oils.

Another fun one would be if you went into a Sephora store and had James film as you ask an associate for their personal recommendation on all of these items. Maybe providing them with the list of all the items you're looking for and asking them upfront if it's okay to film for a fun products review video would make them more comfortable

YES! This was so much fun! I had a blast watching. I’ve always wanted to try Pat McGrath but she’s so expensive, that little palette is a perfect way to try her out and not break the bank! I knew you wouldn’t like that mascara, I’ve seen several reviews and none of them were positive. Have you tried Manny’s lip products? He has, in my opinion, the best lip formula’s out there! His lip glosses are perfection and I usually hate lip gloss! He just came out with lip oil’s and OMG, they are amazing, absolutely stunning, perfectly perfect! Do you have any tips or tricks about when is the best day to hit certain stores or websites for the best deals? Or, a way to find codes or coupons for the best deals? Or, something along the lines of those topics? That would be a great video idea 💡

Curly hair here, so I only wash once a week. First few days of dry shampoo are Living Proof advanced. It's not as drying. Last couple days I use IGK charcoal cause it could dry an oil spill in the gulf if it needed.

Regarding dry shampoo recs w/working out, I highly recommend Bumble & Bumble Pret-a-powder Post Workout dry shampoo. Spray it on damp/post workout hair at your roots, & revive style with blow dryer & round brush. It was a game changer for me!

Tati, a mascara recommendation for you is the newer Bambi “Oversized Eye” by L’Oreal. I’ve been on the hunt for a great lengthening mascara for a while and discovered that one, recently. I’ve compared it to many others and It seems to do the job well! 👍🏼

Tati I have a great hair maintenance routine for having great hair while working out everyday and once a week wash. I shower right after exercising and then blow out my hair without any product just to dry off the sweat which is essentially just salty water. Then you use your favorite dry shampoo which I have found at target and is NOT aerosolized. I put all over the roots, give it about 2 min to absorb the extra oil, massage into hair/scalp until I don’t see the white. Then I style my hair as usual with blow drier or curling wand and spray with an Oribe deodorizing spray after styling and at bedtime to have nice smelling hair until i wash it again. I repeat this daily and works AMAZINGLY well. Try and thank me later❤

I go 4 days sometimes even 5 days without washing my hair and have done this for 4 years now. I can not live without the Dove Volume Dry Shampoo, it has purple on it. There are different ones and scents but the Volume purple one is the best for ABSOLUTELY fresh looking & amazing out of this world smelling hair like you just got out of the shower and blow dryed it. I always get compliments on the smell of my hair/the Volume of it.

Try an Apple cider vinegar rinse in between washes. It cleans your hair without stripping it of all the good oils like shampoo. Then you only have a day or two with dry shampoo. Dry shampoo works better if your hair isn’t too dirty! Dp hue hair products has an ACV rinse.

I feel you on the hair washing. I LOVE the Kristin Ess loose powder dry shampoo! I work out everyday as well and sweat like nobody’s business. And the loose powder plus the Dry conditioner makes my hair look so clean

Tati! I workout everyday myself and only wash my hair once a week. I have thin fine hair. It’s curly naturally but I straighten it, so I look for heat protection plus I want it to look clean. I use Living Proof dry shampoo on no wash days. But I found Hair story this year to extend my wash- this changed the game for me. I LOVE it and highly recommend.

The batiste dry shampoo with the hint of color is amazing for us who have brunet, brown or black hair. I have black hair and I use the divine dark and it's amazing cause then you don't get that white cast in your hair.

Dry shampoo recommendation: you should try the Cut by Fred one! It doubles as a volumising powder and the design is really cool - it is not a spray so you can take it in a carry-on suitcase on a plane (+ yey for the environment), the formulation is clean AND it is built with a puff on it so you can apply it very easily straight at the root without over-using it!

i workout pretty much everyday and right after my workouts i use bumble and bumble post workout dry shampoo mist. if you follow the directions on the bottle it’s little like a hair wash day in a bottle (maybe not as good but great alternative lol). i also use the moroccanoil dry shampoo for dark tones and literally using it once lasts me at least 2 days. maybe you’ll see this and hopefully these help you!!

Loving the amika dry shampoo and it smells amazing. To really get it to work I let it set for a minute, rub it in, and go through it with a hair dryer briefly. Love this look btw!

Tati I'm in my mid 40's & I'd love to see u do a FULL FACE OF BEAT PRIDUCTS FOR Dry MATURE SKIN. Less is more, And Remember the less layers of concealer & foundation the better. Foundation should be a light coverage with spot conceal. Fyi- kosas concealer is great, TARTE maracuja concealer or bye bye it concealer or something similar. ❤️😊❤️

For dry shampoos, I really like the IGK one for a really dire situation, and I LOVE the Phillip B one (kind of hard to find, I can only find it online at Anthropologie) because it smells SO good and it’s a more discrete- like doesn’t leave a ton of white for dark hair. For a more natural dry shampoo especially for dark hair, the Wildland Organics Magic Dust one on Reed Clarke (Fiona Stiles’s shop) is actually really good, but a little tricky to use since it’s not an aerosol. I have super dark brown hair with really oily roots and use all three on rotation.

It's a real person! They definitely monitor the time frame! Sephora treats their business like the Beauty Advisors are lawyers and you cannot go over a set time. I know I worked for them and it is hard core. They want you to disconnect--i.e. hang up if the call/chat is too long. Every minute is accounted for--even going to the rest room.

I really like the R+Co Spirtitalized spray for my hair. I have similar colored hair and had a hard time finding a product that didn't cast a white shadow on my hair. Spiritualized does not do that. It is a wet spray but dries fairly quick. BTW, love your eyes in this video! 😍

How fun! I didn't know they would personalize the suggestion so much. I seem to get bad luck with the employees at the store, but I'll have to check this one out. A dry shampoo that I swear by for "pre-workout" is the Playa volume powder. It's aerosol free so it lasts ~forever~ and it smells nice, disappears with a bit of juje, and absorbs oil while making your hair look cute. Love it!
