people always talk about Michae using playbacks - which he did in award shows and later on most of History tour - but people don't realize he HAD to use playback when he did, in the award shows it was to preserve his voice, but for History he was actually diagnosed with Laryngitis and a pretty severe one... so he had to resort to Playback. but his staff said, he always actually did sing with the play back and there were shows in History he was able to sing more live - people are forgetting he was dealing with real health issues... and he couldn't cancel shows nor did he want to. but for most of his life, he sang live... people seem to forget that by History the man was performing for almost 30 years, and it takes its tall on the vocal cords - especially with something like Lupus

Yes one of his dancers said you need incredible core strength to do this lean, so it's not as simple, Michael always amazes me, no matter how many times I watch ❤

You can see that very well here in this performance. It is very impressive how far forwards Michael performs the lean in contrast to some of his dancers.

5:00 wow you figured it out quickly, besides the "spikes" in the floor MIchael actually patented a special shoe (they were more like the boots so the shoe wouldn't wore out in the middle of the stunt) so the nail could get right in the middle of the Shoe sole keeping him and his dancers in place. They weren't totally safe tho, they use a muscle located in the ankle that we never use so they needed to train the muscle so they don't get hurt. The shoe sometimes failed, you saw that Michael did an amazing angle of less than 45 degrees, in a show the nail didn't attached well and he fell. After that he did angles of 45 degrees or less

Michael Bush was the Michael Jackson's designer stylist. Bush invented these special shoes with the help of MJ. The patent belongs to both of them. Michael Jackson loved the magic and innovation.

Please don't forget Michael's second costume designer: Dennis Tompkins !!! Dennis Tompkins and Michael Bush were the phenomenal duo for decades. The inventors listed on the patent along with Michael Jackson are Michael Bush AND Dennis Tompkins. The actual inventors of these special shoes are Bush and Tompkins. You can read about it in Michael Bush's book). Michael surprised Bush and Tompkins with this patent. It was a surprise gift from Michael after they had invented these special shoes for him.

Hello, I am a 50-year-old Frenchman and have been a fan of Michael since I was 8 years old (Thriller '82). I had the chance to experience the Jackson adventure from A to Z. The artist brought magic into my life, and the man helped me become a better person. I can never thank him enough for that. I've been watching your videos for a while now, and it makes me happy to see you discovering all of this. In a way, I relive those moments through your eyes because your reactions and analyses are very similar to mine back then. Thank you and best wishes for your continued success. :)

now - the spikes are only helping to stebalize them so they are secured and not fall, but everything else is them, he is going down at a 45 degree angel, stops there and then back up again... you need some MASSIVE core streangth to do it. there were shows the went down too much he actually fell - the spikes only helped keeping them in place

Hello seph 🌹🌹🌹 I know that i comment fewer than before, I'm sorry but I'm very busy in this doctor profession 😂 Amazing reaction my friend, awesome 🔥🔥🔥 This is the performance i wanted you to react to since day 1 in that beautiful journey🥳... *Can* *u* *imagine* *i* *waited* *a* *complete* *year* *haha* *?* First of all tell me what u think about the live lean ? ✨✨✨ You are right , to do such lean ,u have to have so strong muscles and leg tendon to carry his wight without being cut or injured ... because if u pay attention🧐 he leaned here by 30 degrees ( this is a level that all his body weight over his ankle tendons...) Believe me , even the technique is known but no one can do it with this degree and perfection ever ✨✨✨ Great idea that u decided to react to my favourite tour especially at that sad day 💔... I can't tell you how much i was happy but i couldn't write a comment 🙏 I miss you and the wonderful moonwalkers here 🥰🥰 Can't wait for your next reaction 🌹🌹🌹

Thank you Michael Bush...you understand Stéph... But, even if you have to be really very muscular to do Lean, Michael wanted it to remain magic! Bush was extremely surprised when he learned that Michael had filed a patent in their name! And, if you notice, NOBODY dares to do Lean... Because, like all of Michael's choreographies, it looks so simple but it's so complicated!!!! It's Michael, the one and only King of Pop and Dance!

I think it's more likely that Michael was influenced by Fred Astaire again. Astaire already showed a shadow dance in his 1936 film "Swing Time". Like Michael with 3 shadows.

"You know I really do hate to say it… but if Michael was singin', he wouldn't slay this big, no, no…" Anyway, most is synched except a pair of songs and adlibs. Still the VHS has been overrun, overburnt, and knowing all the limits, gimmicks and stuff doesn't make the show and Michael any less magic 😊

6:50 I'm so sorry to burst your bubble here, but this song was not sung live right here. It is indeed hard to find differences with the studio recording because it IS the studio recording. I'm not going to get into why he was lip synching here, but one of the clues WHEN he does it is that he tries to cover his mic and mouth with his hand. That is the main giveaway if you would like...
@tim3970
@tim3970 2 ай бұрын
The singing is almost too good to be true, and then he snaps back into live vocals at 7:44. You clearly hear a quality difference.
@JamesPerry-wt7no
@JamesPerry-wt7no 2 ай бұрын
To me the biggest clues is when you can hear him breathing cause no one would sing that perfectly while dancing the way he does, not to mention the way the song is sung is already quite fast and he was in his 30s at this point but I mean he did sing almost all songs on a 2 hour show so I understand honestly

@@SephPlays he sang quite a lot during the Dangerous Tour, during his next tour, the HIStory tour he lip synced pretty much all the songs because he was suffering from laryngytis which is throat infammation which affrects the vocal cords and can be due to excessive use of the vocal cords, still he did try to sing the first song Wanna Be Startin Something but you can hear that his voice sounded veeery hoarse and raspy, so that's it lol

For the viewers, Which history tour night and year should Seph react to when hes on the history era? I would go for Munich 1997
@NebulaMJ
@NebulaMJ 2 ай бұрын
In terms of video quality I agree that Munich is the best choice and most accessible, since there's like a million different remastered 4k versions on YT lol. The only downside to munich is that he was sick so his vocals were pretty bad compared to other shows, plus TWYMMF and OTW Medley were taken out of the setlist by that point in the tour. I think he should still react to Munich, but maybe also react to a '96 concert like one of the Auckland shows or Kuala Lumpur (1st night), or even Brunei tbh

@@NebulaMJ yea I figured that. After he reacts to the whole Munich show he can react to the 96 show for the songs that has been taken out of the 1997 shows. Just like what seph did after watching the 1988 show
