I absolutely love Will You Be There, it's my favorite from the album, it's just so beautiful and real and vulnerable and he sings with so much emotion along with the choir!! I'm so happy that he decided to include it in the concerts as one of the slow songs!! It's very spiritual and Michael loved having these impactful songs towards the end of his concerts, as a message to the world, I LOVE the choreography, very simple, he's not doing too much, his moves are very graceful and gentle like the song, the poem is moving enough, but then the angel embracing him at the end makes it sooo beautiful, shows how spiritual Michael was ❤❤😍😭😭

"Will you be there" & "Heal the world" makes me emotional and cry every time. I used to avoid listening to the songs till recent years coz they reminded me of how Michael died. He was just a lovely soul with a beautiful heart who was there for others. Yet not many stood with him during his allegations, trials and challenges. this song in a way came the fandom's prayer - every year on June 25th, we put Will You Be There and then saying his prayer in the end. btw, this is an amazing performance of his, but my all time favorite is from the MTV show - you have to watch it - in there, the angel part will take your breath away. and actually Taj - he nephew said this song was very important for Michael, because actually he really sand it to us - he asked us if we will be there for him, and i hope he saw that we were there for him, and still are. i believe in a way, this song plays on every fan heart strings - people can correct me, but especially since his death - this song means a lot

Omg noo this is one my favourites of his lmao! it's just so meaningful & connects to something so viscerally deep it's both uplifting and heartbreaking at the same time! He's raw and vulnerable and what he's feeling is portrayed & treated so delicately with his words & i love the added choreography & spoken word! That said it's all subjective and it's interesting too bc i felt exactly as you did but with Keep the Faith instead! Like that's the song i never really like listening too much on the album. And yeah it's going to get bad and terribly sad and angsty and as someone else has said in the comments his next album takes literally no prisoners and he lashes back in such a big way it's both amazing to see and yet terrifying to behold for anyone in a position of power or authority against the hurt or oppressed. Like he is so mad and you can FEEEEEEEEEL IT there's literally no energy like it. It's such an adult album and you can see why he was a target and the power he had and how it all lead to his troubles fighting against the feds, sony and the press (they felt threatened) and basically the whole goddamn world! He's on fire and it'll shock you considering how timid and shy he's been so far. Like NO JOKE. Same with his massive "Ghosts" feature film afterwards which is far more mellow and friendly and you'll love it for the fun vibes but he's saying & implying so many things with it that it's also terribly TERRIBLY sad because he's basically explaining his life and how people view him as a freak and a monster and an amusement to poke fun at and how it scares him when he only wants to make people smile. Same with the song 'Morphine' which... as i can imagine you can gather what that song implies and how very very personal it is. It's ughhhhhhhhhh. After that it gets a bit messy, 90's was dark af & incredibly hard to watch but early 2000s he was dosed up heavily and you can sadly see that when he's interacting with people around him and the press took advantage of it by framing it all in the worst possible light to make him look even more eccentric and 'nutty' and 'weird' but ultimately he was just trying to escape the pain and cope and everything lead to him semi retiring from the spotlight only to crop up now and again if something controversial was put in the press. I'm actually so so curious to see you watch 'This is it' too but i'm also glad you're nowhere near it yet because i''m not ready for you to be anywhere near done with Michael. Anyways happy to see your reaction and can't wait to keep watching!

I think less is more. And mj wanted the havens to respond to his ache and uncertainty . It's should be a conversation with the spirits. I think he captures it perfectly. The choir paints such a picture that makes Michel's voice stand out. If he would sing with himself it wouldn't work. The song is also simplistic and many say this is the first time mj sings so low at the beginning. You are right Seph Michael is kind of in the background. It's the piano and the rhythm percussion that is carrying the song. And he knew that very well. I feel like he just enjoys the lifting sensation of the song and key change. It's going U p and up . Like flying. And it's the first hmmmmmmmmms that start the song that are reminiscing of a mantra beginning. It's like that, a collaboration of all those things . And maybe the choir is what he is hearing internally when he asks himself all those questions: will you be there? You need to watch the MTV anniversary of mj performance please too. Should I just mention that I absolutely love how the song starts with that base in the beginning. Ahhh I love I wish that was in the original too.

He wrote it on his giving tree🌳 in Neverland Ranch after the multiple rumours of the media u know so he really felt it in his heart ❤️❤️ ✓ The first time Michael performed this song live was in 1991 in 10th MTV anniversary and i really wanted you to watch that performance before the concert because the camera angles and choreography were so much better than here . ✓ this song is one of the few songs Michael didn't perform live and the reason is that ... During BAD tour , Michael performed most of the songs live everyday untill his voice was hurt 💔 and doctors advised him not to sing the very high notes to preserve his magical voice ✨but he would sings parts of the songs to give the audience that feeling of live singing. 'Will You Be There' is a Shadows vocal song. The 'B' side of their 1966 Hit single 'A Place In The Sun'. I much prefer their song which is as talented as 'Beatles' songs from the same time. I suppose you're gonna get some titles 'repeated' over the years, but I personally rate 'Smooth Criminal' as Michael's very Best song.😀
