This song is so beautiful and horrendously sad. People unfortunately only started to take the lyrics more seriously after his passing. Before his passing most people simply liked the sound of the song and were like "cool spaceship". Now the meaning of the lyrics is unmistakably clear and it's absolutely devastating.

Ya i can understand why others would just say "Cool spaceship" ya know.... It's just taken on a different form since Chester died :(

I always thought this was his goodbye song when I was listening to the song back in 07. Listening to it and watching reactions has me balling in tears. R.I.P Chester ❤

Leave Out All The Rest's chorus has some of the most beautiful lyrics of any song I've heard. I know a lot of fans who wish for this song to be played at their funeral, for obvious reasons. It's such a near universal human thing, to want to be remembered fondly and forgiven for our wrongsdoings, great or small. It can be hard to listen to now after Chester's passing. He left so many more reasons to be missed than I think he could believe. Listening to it now, I get hit by the illusion that he's asking for forgiveness from beyond, asking to please be remembered for more than his passing, for people to hold on to the good memories of him. Then I recall mine, and it hurts in a different way, sorrow and gratitude in one. Thanks you for sharing an emotional reaction with us. Without trying to 'spoil' anything, I think the next one might cheer you up ❤

Don't get that sentiment. The ego goes with you. I don't care if I'm being remembered. Most people are being forgotten quickly. I might be too logical lol

The video is actually based on the film Sunshine. Highly recommend watching the movie if you haven't. RIP Chester, you left so many reasons to be missed

It’s crazy. I love these songs for the lyrics… it was always (and still is) therapeutic for me… but it does truly hit different knowing he’s gone. I still remember when I got the news, and I was blessed enough to attend his memorial celebration of life in Scottsdale, AZ. Grabbed a memorial shirt (still have it), saw his family on stage (mother, wife, kids). It was surreal.

Linkin Park is what I put on when I need a good cry. With the nostalgia, the memories and the hard times it got me through in the past I can't really listen to ANY Of their music without it hitting me. It makes songs like this even harder to listen to.

The chorus of this song is the background on my phone, and it was the note I left when I tried to quit.

Definitely one of the harder hitting ones after Chester's passing 😢 on the plus side, the next song "Bleed It Out" is one of their higher energy, but shorter songs

I noticed this American anime rock song sounds similar to Faded by Alan Walker and I feel bad for Chester Bennington 😿

You’ll probably keep missing Mike a little bit on this record 😅 back then he said he just didn’t feel rapping was fitting with the idea they had for the record and the sound they were looking for. So he took a more backing role in the guitar, piano, keys, backing vocals and you will hear of him in some songs of the record but definitely not as much as other records
