Father Burke! I stumbled upon your video today as I was looking for an explanation of the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross. I really enjoyed this video and the explanation you did about the readings. I don't know if I ever thought about how the reading about the Israelites and Moses in the desert could be related to Jesus and His Holy Cross. Just like those who looked upon the snake on the pole in the desert, we can look upon Our Lord Jesus, believe in Him and His Paschal Mystery, follow Him, confess that He is Lord, and be saved through Him! God is so good and has everything laid out for us all. Thank You Lord God! Thanks Father Burke for this video!

I like the connections between the Old,, New testaments and Gospels. I remember the opening scene for one of the Chosen episodes where Moses was creating the serpent on a pole, then giving it to Aaron to have the people look at it and be saved. The connection to Jesus’s crucifixion and its meaning, seemed so clear at the time. Thank you, Father Burke for making the meaning of the Scriptures more accessible to us.

I found this video to help me understand this feast day a little better. After Father Burke referenced his 90 day program, I found it on the internet and am thrilled to have found a challenge like this! I live in a rural area with a one hour drive to church. Online resources, apps, and books are critical in sustaining my faith journey since our church community is so sparse. Thank you for sharing this vital resources so we can all be part of a bigger spiritual team together. May our Lord and the Blessed Mother protect and guide you, Farther Burke.

Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross 🙏✝️❤️🔥 Jesus, who is without sin, takes our sins upon himself, dies on the cross. Jesus rises from the dead, ascends into heaven, defeating eternal death and He gives us the opportunity to live with Him for all eternity in eternal salvation. God’s desire is that none of us perish. We have to make a choice to choose and follow Christ. Everything begins with God’s love for us. Faith is our response to God’s grace.
