A message about the September 2021 intake at Cardiff Metropolitan University. An update about the current situation in the UK, in Cardiff, and at the university.
Whilst we don't have all the information yet about the September 2021 intake, I'll talk you through a few things that we do know, and hopefully offer some reassurance. Keep an eye out for more updates as soon as we have more information.
I recorded this video in June 2021, so it's important you also stay up to date as rules and guidance are changing all the time.

@@ajoetalkz You should have the budget for £1015 available as per the UKVI requirements, but the reality is that it is usually a lot lower than this in Cardiff! An average of around £8000-£9000 for a year including accommodation.

The only thing you'll need to do will be to include a complete CV with your application, to demonstrate what you have been doing since you were last studying. However your diploma shouldn't expire, so you can carry on from the next level of study. Good luck! Jack

Hii Sir ,I got unconditional offer letter for sep2021 intake,am from a middle class family so wanted to know if university can reimburse the hotel corantine fees or whether it can provide alternative arrangement in the campus for international students. As many other universities are compensating for hotel corantin charges or providing alternative arrangement. There has not yet been guidance to universities in Wales about whether students from Red List countries will be able to self-isolate in university provided accommodation when they arrive into the UK. We are hoping that this will be announced over the next month or so. Once we have a better idea about this, we'll be able to look into the best way to support students arriving from Red List countries. Thanks for your patience, I understand your concern, but no need to worry. The CAS team are currently working through all CAS as fast as they can. Each CAS takes around 1-2 hours with all checks, to make sure that everything is in order, and students don't receive rejections. They are hoping to be caught up by the end of each week. I have applied for the course presessional english leading to Masters degree in Food science and Technology for September 2021 intake. My pre-sessional english date is going to start from 26th July 2021 and Masters course will start from 13th September 2021. I already have transfered fee for pre-sessional english and masters course as well on March 2021. It has already been three months but my CAS hasnot been issued. They have informed me that as the Pre-Sessional is being taught online via Distance Learning, you don't require a visa to enrol. Thanks for getting in touch. The exact ranking changes every year, and depends on which ranking table you are interested in. In general Cardiff Met performs highly as a modern university, and is in the middle tier of the big UK ranking tables (Times, CUG, Guardian etc.). As for the QS world table, Cardiff Met is currently in the 801-1000 tier. Thanks, Jack
