Thanks for the feedback on the magnetic seam guide - I have a Juki too and am curious to try it out! I loved the fit and feel of the seam ripper - but the thing I really like is it comes with a cap! Wish they all came that way. And you're right, you can never have too many seam rippers - it's the rule of "one to use, and one to lose" (darn those sewing room gremlins anyway lol!)

I am a hand quilter and those thimble pads are terrific. With a thimble pad on my third finger and a finger cot (cheaper at the drugstore) on my index finger it really helps reduce hand fatigue.

I’m using that seam guide right now, love it. I’ve tried them before and never got them to stick well. I also like the seam ripper. The material is perfect and I’ll make the quilt up for my mom. Unfortunately she is in a wheelchair now so this should be a perfect size for her lap with the cooler temps arriving.

True story - when I was trying to adjust/move the seam guide around, I may have accidentally jabbed under my nail and drew a couple drops of blood. So, yeah, this one is sturdy as heck and not moving!

Thimble pads are great for EPP when you’re finger is so sore from forcing it through the fabrics.
