September Garden Tour

Hi Marta, happy Fall! I’m about ready to go out to water my neglected garden. I’ve been sick with Covid, of all things, all week. Haven’t been out since Monday. So far this year I’ve canned elderberry pear jam. I’m hoping that I’ll still get a good jalapeño harvest and some tomatoes for sauce. It’s really cooled down here in Nebraska. The high will be 68f. I have broccoli and cabbages and cauliflower planted. So far the cabbages have tiny little heads. I think the weather has really affected gardening here. Nothing else is heading up. My kohlrabi was great last year but this year, nothing. 😢 Only a few cucumbers as well. Your garden is really nice! All the pumpkins and beans so nice. Thanks for the tour you made my day 😊

Happy fall to you, too! Sorry to hear that you’re sick. It sounds like fall arrived in Nebraska a little earlier than it did here in PA. We’ve just started to cool off this week, and I’m ready for it. Fall is my favorite for sure. Have a great week 😊

Do you make sauerkraut? It has very many probiotics and is soooo good.

Thanks! I made some a few weeks ago from a previous cabbage harvest. Well probably be ready for another round by the time those little cabbages have grown 😊
