Costume patterns can definitely work for everyday - Rochelle (Handmade Designs) pointed out that S9354 is really just an easy jacket - I bought it right away and will make it without the big bow and cat ears on the hood 😄! The flapper outfit is a fancy tank top - a classic. I bought S3012 too but will make it without the "cold elbows" (taking over for the cold shoulder look?) b/c if I'm cold enough for a sweatshirt, I don't want a draft coming up my arms! I love the pants fabric and would use a pattern without too much seaming that would break up the print and where details might not be noticed anyway b/c of the print. Have fun sewing in September!

All I’m gonna say is you are very ambitious this September 😉. I love all the patterns you picked and looking forward to seeing your progress. I went to the mall yesterday (Patrick Henry in Newport News- what a waste of time) I was just so disappointed in the choices. All I could think was my me made clothes are so much better than this. I saw a lot of raglan sleeves, so the blouse patterns you have are very much on trend.

Nice patterns selection. looking forward to the final garments. RE: pants I vote for McCall's 8089 and I would offer that you check out Anmaree's Workshop / My March Sewing Makes 2022 (KZbin) time stamp 24:14. She shows this pattern in 5 different fabrics. She is a real sewing enthusiastic "juggernaut". I also subscribe to her channel. But I think you will really rock this pattern!!!!! I own the pattern, but have not made it yet. Interested in your flapper dress!!

You mentioned only having one copy of the sweatshirt pattern--do you dislike tracing off patterns?

Pattern 9105 is so cute. Can’t wait to see your make. That flapper is a cute style but not for all body types. Yay raglan sleeves. Let us know how you like that pattern’s sleeves. Have had some weird ones and I’m looking for a better one. Vote: side panel wide legs!
