Agreed. I miss Peter being here with us so much. As amazing as he was I agree that we should give credit to the whole band. They all have such great talent and I hope that the rest of the band is at peace with Peter's death. I have no doubt they miss him but lets all just hope that Peter is at peace where he went after his death. I believe he is alive in Heaven with God the Father and feels great happiness and warmth. I am crying as I'm typing this. Both tears of sadness and joy mixed. I offer my tears to God right now. I have decided to buy a neon green shirt today to wear on the anniversary of Peter's death and his birthday when they come up. 🙌⛔ TYPE O NEGATIVE ROCKS ON IN MY HEART!!!☝💚

Despite being a melancholic song, it feels very happy, full of tranquility and peace. (unlike other dark and depressive songs by Type O Negative). You can see that Peter was being happy in his last days, at peace with himself, after a stormy life.

In the music video, they just do a radio edit of it which disappoints me considering how the original version gets even BETTER. Like don't get me wrong, it's a good song even without the later bit, but it just hits you in the GUT! The percussion is just plain GORGEOUS! It's about depression after death and/or a heavy break up (rumor/speculation has it that it's about one of Pete's exes but don't quote me on that). Kenny's vocals kick ASS in this song. Like he doesn't get as much as a chance to shine but when he does, it can light up a town after a power outage! The fact that this was their last video and the somber tune of dealing with heavy emotions before Peter died and the montage of behind the scenes footage added in hits like a truck, you know? :'( Miss you Green Man.

Peter just had to go out w an emotional bang.I can't listen to this song w out crying...My Bday is Sept 26,and my ex-gf's father's Bday was the 27th,but she always had a hard time celebrating bc her father passed a few years before i met her.She was the only woman I ever truly loved and she had/has Avoidant Personality Disorder,which basically means that at too young of an age,she had to be the one to respond to her own emotional needs...To teach her how to swim,her mother threw her in a cold water mountain river pool when my gf was only 3,and a stranger had to jump in and save her...That's the kind of life she lived. However,she was/is a beautiful person who just ended up dragging my heart through the mud for a year and a half,until I "finally let go of that horse" - so to speak.It has nearly upended me and I'm still single after 4 years,but beautiful things are happening...In one of my darkest hours,Peter's spirit actually came and sat w me...for 2 weeks straight.Of course,he didn't let me stay down for long and even stuck around long enough to witness my Initiation into Coyote Medicine as a Witch.Peter and 2 other deceased men,as 3 witnesses of the same gender are required...Peter's not dead;he's just doing Love's work in the Spirit World,and he's happier than ever.His youth also returned to him,and he joined The Great Green Brotherhood,an alliance of beings on the other side working w Nature to help the plants and animals through the great change that's just around the corner...Keep your hearts cheerful!

do you have a trigger? boy, i found one today. i don't often long for what was...but an immediate flood of memories came back when i heard this and i honestly had to fight off the tears while i was driving and tell cindy the story. back in the outta control days on klq, i got to do a lot of pretty amazing things and make some incredible friends. never played it up much because hey...i am a working stiff like anyone else, but there were some lifetime bonds made with folks who to this day, who are still in the business and some who have left it. there was a little pocket of us in and around roadrunner records, specifically Mark Abramson from the label, the guys in Type O Negative Global, Pist.On and some of the memories we made over the years. from mark being my intro to NYC "stop looking up...they will pick your pockets" to hanging out with type o and scaring off the early dinner crowd one night because who in grand rapids is ready for "us" to come walking in to a restaurant at 5:30? to Henry Steven Font and pist and how the drummer from type o would fill in for them. there were times i felt like i was as much from brooklyn as they were, but i was a rube from sparta....but they always made me feel like a blood brother. every one of them. september sun came on, and like so many type o records...it's a pretty deep soul search. we lost pete from the band 10 years ago now...gone too soon from a heart problem and to know we lost his personal depth and deep meaning to what he wrote...and how our little whirlwind of friendship all came from that....pretty priceless!
@AdamLProductions4 жыл бұрын
Nice to hear from you. I think even for those of us who never knew Pete personally, the way he was able to express himself both through the music and outside of it made it feel like he was our friend. Every now and then I have these ultra-realistic dreams with Pete in them hanging around, and those dreams make me happy and despondent at the same time, as it's the only way I'll ever have any interactions with him - even if it's nothing but my own mind recreating what it would be like. I can only imagine the pain of those who knew him for real are going through. This is one of those losses that will haunt for a lifetime.

She knew him online from one of the older instant messaging apps, it was either AOL, Yahoo chat or MSN Messenger, I don't recall which. Apparently he used to use it frequently from around Bloody Kisses and before, but then stopped using it not long after its release. Even though I never communicated with him, his music, relatable lyrics and warm personality on stage and off really made it feel as if he was a close friend. He is sorely missed.
