This is actually a good example of why hyper realism in graphics doesnt always mean better. FF8 has a consistent and distinctive art style that has aged very well.

I liked irvine the most with quistis in second. But outside of irvine i didnt really think they actually captured the characters. There comes a point where if you make fantasy/game characters like this too realistic- it makes them not look the same because a lot of their features dont transfer over.

Because he's so rude 🧔🏻 I'm not sure why, but AI sometimes put beards in masculine characters like Irvine in the first scene. I've tried to say the AI to make them without beard or beardless but the result are they with more beard 😅

One thing that a lot of people tend to not notice in the CGI cutscenes in Final Fantasy 7 to 9 is they were bogged down ever so slightly so the CD can be able to load them. If you increase the playback speed to 1.25, everything moves more fluidly.

Quistis was really the best one. Why would you also keep terrific hands on Seifer? I would say Zell was also Okeyish except the missing tattoo, and Irvine. Seems this AI likes also mustaches and facial hair lol. And Rinoa, sometimes ok, sometimes not. But the pace of development is crazy, I wonder if we can have our own remaster machines at home, that can change those games almost instantly.
