SYNOPSIS: INTERTROPICAL CONVERGENCE ZONE (ITCZ) AFFECTING VISAYAS, MINDANAO AND PALAWAN; DEVELOPING LPA (1420km east of Bicol Region).
DISCUSSION (BASED ON LATEST WIND, VIS/IR AND WATER VAPOR IMAGERY):
There was a breakage in the extension of the North Pacific High due to tropical cyclone Cimaron and 2 other active LPAs near the South of Japan although the effect of a high pressure area anchored over Southern China continues. Because of this, based on the latest water vapor imagery, tropical moisture is expected to build up in the country, especially in the northern part of Luzon. Due to the aforementioned weather systems and atmospheric conditions affecting the country, here is the expected weather forecast for the next 24 hours:
METRO MANILA: Generally good weather condition is expected with some possible isolated rainshower and/or thunderstorms during the afternoon and/or evening.
LUZON: partly cloudy skies with some possible isolated rainshower and/or thunderstorms during the afternoon and/or evening.
VISAYAS: partly cloudy skies with possible isolated rainshower and/or thunderstorms during the afternoon and/or evening.
MINDANAO: Cloudy skies with possible scattered rainshower and/or thunderstorms.
