I saw in another video, not from you guys, that stated there should be NO slope in the trench when using these systems. Is this true? I have not come across any discussion of prescribed slope in anything I have read or seen. I am actually having trouble seeing how the water makes it down the run as it is even with some slope, since it seems it would just soak into the ground within a very short distance.

Thank you for contacting Infiltrator. We commonly recommend that trenches and beds are installed with no slope. It is ultimately prescribed by local regulatory code. Please feel free to email us at info@infiltratorwater.com with further questions.

Without ever having seen this, we just did something similar in Maryland using the ARC Biodiffusers but had gravel around and between the chambers before applying a geotextile with clay to seal the top (and then topsoil). Nice video....

Thank you for contacting Infiltrator. We are always interested in hearing about recent installations. Do you have any pictures you can send us? For installations please note - stone is not a requirement with chambers unless it is for a traffic design. why is this a better system than the old leach line system's and price wise it looks a bit more expensive and you have a huge mound in your yard !

Thank you for contacting Infiltrator. Infiltrator drainfield products have many advantages over pipe and stone some of which include a reduced footprint (smaller drainfield), less labor intensive, less site disruption and environmentally friendly products. Chambers can be placed in an in-ground trench, bed, at-grade or mound configurations - please contact your local health department and or a licensed septic contractor to determine your soil percolation rate and installation type. A mound system may be required for any system type (chamber or stone and pipe). It is independent of the product type. We would be happy to put you in touch with a local distributor for pricing. To discuss your questions in-depth please feel free to contact our technical department at 800-221-4436 option 3 or by email at info@infiltratorwater.com.
