Cara, percebi que Derick sabe fazer o estilo de Max hahahah. Confesso que tô na turma dos que duvidaram dele. Mas hoje percebo que ele apenas seguiu o estilo dele; foi autêntico e não ligou para objeções de gente como eu. Teria sido mais confortável fazer cover de Max, talvez, mas ele escolheu fazer o dele. Respeito isso!

A crítica da Showbizz na época me fez comprar o "Nation", o autor apontava como o Derrick tinha o diferencial de saber cantar e intercalar os urros guturais com melodia. E ele não estava errado, "Nation" é um disco muito bom, 100% Sepultura, ganhou corpo com o Derrick mas infelizmente sofreu com o preconceito. Eu não curtia mais o Max tentando fazer o vocal dele ao vivo não conseguindo durar nem metade de um show. E ele continua assim.

Man, Derrick little by little throughout the years has won my respect and now I feel bad that I gave him such a hard time for so long. Derrick has progressed his vocals to the point that he can emulate Max's vocals much better than Max himself trying to emulate his, nowadays and Derrick's own style in singing his songs, is just pure power!

Max couldn't keep up with his vocals live since the "Chaos A.D." tour... I don't know if he is stubborn but he should have taken some singing lessons to not mess up his vocal cords the way he did. The late André Matos did just that, he noticed he was losing his voice and decided to take care of it, the guy had a flawless voice during his whole career, without vocal cord damage.
