Quickly review arithmetic and geometric sequences and series in this video math tutorial by Mario's Math Tutoring. We discuss the formulas for finding a specific term as well as the formulas for finding the sum of the series. Tomorrow's my exam and I had to have a quick revision and this video helped me revise every single formula in just 19 minutes! Love how U can revise a long ass chapter in less than an hour whereas other youtubers take 1-2 hours and even advertise their channel. I agree with Ahura! Great stuff but slow down please. You skip steps because you already intuit them. It would be more helpful if you write out each step of the process. Random example: Working backwards....You might jump to putting an exponent of 4 and leave out that the exponent started at 5-1 and prior to that n-1 . It got really fast for me around the equations. i.e. Canceling out/divide both sides by/like terms....WHA? Im going to try to backtrack and watch the videos you linked above to John. I do really appreciate you doing these vids though!

I can see where you’re coming from! Remember to think of it in terms of the ratio within the rule. Division is not done there, but multiplication with the power is done there. So to find the rule, you have to show what you would multiply that by (which is 1/2). If we were talking in terms of plainly division, then you’d be 100% correct! You just have to remember where the r is coming from and what is being done to it in the equation. Hopefully that makes sense! Very sorry if not! Excellent question and thinking, on your part! :)
