Sequencing the Model D with the Deluge
Today I'm finally bringing the Model D back into the spotlight! I'm also finally taking a look at MIDI sequencing using the Deluge, something I've been interested in since I first got it. Like most Deluge features, it's pretty simple, once you understand the basic process and workflow. The Model D sounds fantastic as always, and I absolutely need to spend more time with it! Very cool. In theory, you should be able to use the CV outputs on the Deluge to “play” the filter or other parameters on the Model D…

As a deluge owner bro l LOVE you content, especially when you combine your equipment with the deluge. A couple minutes in so l haven't watched everything, press on the gold knobs when in midi mode for CC message manipulation.

@@FreeBeat hold gold knob + twist black select wheel for cc Note number. You can record automation aswell. Aslong as you know your synths cc programming your good to go, obviously every synth is diff. You can map it to any parameter🙌🏾🥰🥰🥰

I don't think we will see another price increase on the Deluge for a long time, they stayed at the original price for almost 5 years before raising it. Everyone at Synthstrom seems to be an awesome person haha. Thanks for watching!

There is a model D app that is exactly the same. It’s not like the Deepmind 12 app where you have total control. I suggest this because you can literally learn all of it’s abilities kicking back on the sofa! Then when you feel up to trying it out for real, you’ll have a better idea of a plan. I don’t currently have any physical modular but this is how I’m doing it. The Korg Kronos has a modular virtual engine in it that works like the apps do. That’s as close as I have in REAL modular equipment though. Just a suggestion I thought might be helpful. Peace

I've actually had it on my girlfriend's iPad for a couple years now haha, the reason I just have a really hard time working with gear like that on a completely touch interface. Maybe I'll give it another shot though, thanks for watching!

Lol I’m in the middle of reading an interesting article on PO’s if I find what I’m looking for I’ll let you know. All I know this far is it’s not midi but haven’t got to it yet. A midi came works so I’m trying to figure it out.

Alright so it works on a 5 volt signal, some gear will work and some won’t so the only way I’ll know what I can actually do is hook them up to the sync output in my Craftsynth, connect midi to, I’m thinking Bluetooth into IPad and test the waters. I have done this with an IPhone 6 only with a trs, but when I went on my be prepared for anything spree, I got a few WIDI Bluetooth adapters so I believe that would make an interesting video if it works, according to the article if I were using a TE device op 1 or z that’s how it would work, I threw my back out today and can’t climb stairs, so when I’m back up I’ll try it!
