I am obsessed with this synth. It sounds vintage and modern at the same time. If Moog is corduroy, this is black leather.

Yeah I chose this over Moog, I have always been curious about Moog but there has always been something more interesting to buy

I was wondering why there was no Pro 3 sound set, but here it is. Thanks! You’re my favorite sound designer 🙏🏻

Best Pro 3 sound set out there! The Pro 3 has kept me from diving into Eurorack because it sounds so raw and organic. This sound set completely shows off what I'm talking about. Well done!

With no doubts, this thing is alive! Unfortunately I am now awaiting a 3rd unit to arrive from Thomann, as all previous units were faulty, and now losing hope that another one will be ok 😢
@Unison_Detune7 ай бұрын
I’ve had a few issues with the SE version and Rev-2 being faulty. I had a major fallout with Sequential support over a mod wheel that was faulty from new on a Rev-2. My last SE had the same. Calibrate the pitchbend and modwheel with a square wave LFO applied and it will show up because the modwheel will not resister zero amount. Sequential need to get their act together. Better to complain to Novation.

Fantastic, fantastic sound. Pro-3 and the P8rev2 are the best Sequential synths to me. edit: damn, man, that is a hell of a set, and I can hear that this would be the ultimate upgrade over the Pulse2 edit2: lol, literal bleep bloops at the end

Aah, too bad I sold my Pro3 long time ago as I was frustrated not to have a real poly synth and because of limited space in my studio. Another reason was the horrible Soundtower editor (as all of them) which drove me crazy. However, a Wonderful synth and your set encourages me to get one again as I have one level available in my Jasper Rack😊 good job as always. You can’t go wrong with limbic bits soundsets.

Check Scott McAuley Sequential Pro 3 patches if you want a lot of useful presets. The best presets out there for the Pro 3. Any way, these sound amazing as well, a lot of Melodic Techno patches, still listening, but I might buy these as well.
@korimore Жыл бұрын
@@brianlespoir6287 not so much into geting to melody beautiful patches. I am bass player that got into synths. So i like to make heavy weird noises as flillg for metalish sounds of bass
@brianlespoir6287 Жыл бұрын
@@korimore Then this is the perfect synth, because it default to a raw sound. I can advise you to find a Serum Dubstep Bass tutorial and use the Pro-3 like they do in the video with Serum. Use their settings where possible. You can modulate almost everything in the Pro 3 except for the distortion in the upper left corner, but you don't need to, just use it and add tuned feedback. Don't focus on the end result, but see where it gets you, because you can come near to the same result as serum, but not the same. Do this a few times and you don't need tutorials any more. This is how I made a lot of bass sounds just for fun.

Very nice presets, I love the sound of Callisto and Atlas for melodic techno. Can you tell me what setting is controlling the speed of the "tremolo" sound in Callisto, is that an LFO ?
@limbicbits10 ай бұрын
Callisto uses an LFO on the Filter with aftertouch routed to its rate

Can this do deep dubstep sub bass tones? The wavetable oscillator combined with the vcos seem like it may have interesting results for that.

Excellent patches for a fantastic synth! Do you keep all or most of the gear showcased on the channel? If so, would love to see a studio tour
@limbicbits Жыл бұрын
Thanks! Actually, a lot of the synths are loaners, so I need to send them back after a while. But even if not, I prefer to keep my studio "small" as I've noticed that too much gear has a negative impact on my creative outcome.
@Konnekta Жыл бұрын
@@limbicbits Thank you for the response! I get the point about keeping a small focused studio. The State Azure studio tour yesterdaywas incredible but yes also feeds straight into the paradox of choice. I like your approach of being able to rotate new bits of gear in and out to keep things fresh without having them clog up the place over time

HI. Now I'm undecided whether this beautiful PRO 3 or TAKE 5. The PRO 3 is monophonic but has 3 filters. The polyphonic TAKE but only one filter. What would you suggest? I use pads a lot (I like warm and bright timbres), I make ambient, dark, futuristic music... Which one is closest to OB6?
@SauceSoundz7 ай бұрын
Pro 3 has the ob6 filter.
@TheArtisticFlavor7 ай бұрын
If you use a lot of pads, then the Take 5, as it is polyphonic. You can still get some nice pad type sounds on the Pro 3, but I think the Take will better serve you.

Do you prefer the Pro 3 or the SE-3X?
@limbicbits9 ай бұрын
For sound design and flexibility - the PRO-3. I liked the overall sound of the SE-3X better, though. Anyhow, both synths have been loaners and I am not planning to buy one of these, either. Maybe that's already answering your question?
@markus640911 ай бұрын
Your two cent? I really would like to know how you like the sound ?
@limbicbits11 ай бұрын
First, I really like all the features and build quality of the Pro 3. As a sound designer, it was an exciting and joyful challenge to put this sound pack together. But then there's my Prophet-sound bias again. I know this series has many fans and that's very well deserved. These are fantastic synths. But there's something in their sound that just doesn't speak to me. As this appears to be the same with all Prophets (and their derivates) I guess it's just what it is. I still have to checkout the Prophet X and Prophet 6. Maybe these are different and can eventually convince me ;)

What do you love then?
@limbicbits9 ай бұрын
I'm. a huge fan of the OB-6 / SEM-filter, analogue Rolands, Cwejman, MS-20 and so on. Maybe it's easier to say that I don't like the Prophet sound too much but I am also struggling with Moog when it comes to fit these synths in a mix (strangely though, I do like the Subsequent 37. But same applies to the Pro One which I really like(d)) @@EarlyMist
