Excellent demonstration. Thank you so much for not using effects! I swear every synth KZbinr is incapable of melodic playing and insists on drenching everything in long reverbs, fully wet. Any synth can pretty much sound the same with that much reverb

It sounds great as it is... I understand the few guys who said they wouldn’t remove the 2 caps. I’m also more into the warm tones rather than the fuzzy shrill ones :) But if after the mod you only need to close the filter a bit to achieve those tones, then why not :) PS: love the wood on that unit!
@BridgeSetSound4 жыл бұрын
The wood is beautiful! The issue is parting ways with the synth for even a day. Sequential is also honoring the adjustment for this batch in the future as well so rocking this at least for now! Thanks for checking it out!

I get both sides. Personally I opted to have the capacitors removed from the board by sequential, as my intent is to have the P5 as it was intended to be heard and how it was heard and played by all the greats throughout the decades. This beats my desire to hopefully, potentially, possibly have an item worth a bit more in the future. If anything, just put the capacitors back on if it skyrockets in price lol

@vincewizz85344 жыл бұрын
@@SPAZZOID100 I beg to differ: those vanilla sounds (which I love btw, I will probably order a P5 in January) are exactly the sounds I’ve filled my One with :) Except à few sounds using specific cross-mod settings that is. Except those, it can be spot-on. Granted, it takes 10 times for effort and time to do on the One since you have to setup all tiny details: wave angle, curves shapes of each envelope segment, complex filters adjustments and so on... Luckily the One UI makes it a pleasure (for me at least :) ). I find it too bad they never made the effort to provide a “vintage” sound bank in the presets. In the end 90% of the YT One demos don’t show that... In the end to be honest, I cannot justify buying the P5 except that it’s lighter and cheaper so I could take it out of the studio. But the sonic ground is covered by the One. That is not the case for machines like the Quantum or Iridium that provide access to complete different sonic landscapes. Cheers!
@SPAZZOID1004 жыл бұрын
@@vincewizz8534 i’ve played the One and seen many demos. It lacks a strong sonic character IMO. The Memorymoog kills it on that level. So does the p5. Cheers!

This or the Pro 3?
@BridgeSetSound4 жыл бұрын
They are extremely different synthesizers. Comes down to what you’re looking for and if you need polyphony. The Prophet is a classic capable of sultry pads, funky leads and everything in between. The Pro 3 is a modern synth. The wavetable aspect makes it a monster synth capable of the fattest basses, the screaming leads, odd soundscapes..... the sequencer is robust and deep. Both are amazing.
@BridgeSetSound4 жыл бұрын
We also have both in stock!
@LoveMeBack4 жыл бұрын
@@BridgeSetSound I don’t know anymore. It would be my 2nd synth after the mini MS20. The Pro 3 would be absolutely more useful for me. But omg the sound of the Prophet is truly amazing. Do I want usefulness which I also can get with plugins or spend twice as much but really really enjoy a synth.....
@BridgeSetSound4 жыл бұрын
There’s technically no wrong answer but ask yourself this, are you looking for something to “play” or something with dope sequencing and arpeggiation? The MS-20 and Pro 3 are mono and paraphonic respectively. The sequencer in the Pro 3 is super dope, something the MS-20 doesn’t have. However, if you’ve got some playing chops, the Prophet may be what you’re after. Adding a dope poly synth to your dope MS-20 would really round out the picture imho.
@neonether4 жыл бұрын
@@LoveMeBack I say go for the 5! You can probably wait a while and nab a pro 3 for a good price, these on the other hand I wouldn't expect to go the same direction in price after a year or so..! Unless you really want a mono synth with a gnarly sequencer, P5!

MONO OUTPUT is a deal breaker for me and an extremely "bold" decision by sequential.
@GusFogle3 жыл бұрын
The original Prophet's were mono. The whole point of this "relaunch" of the Prophet 5/10 was to keep the synth true to the original. There are plenty of modern analogue synths with stereo output (Korg Prologue, Prophet 6, etc.)
@mackmccord37433 жыл бұрын
