Very interesting and super nice demo (as usual!!!!) For me it sounds like a lovely and super powerful synth, but I don't feel the "magic" I usually feel when I listen a sequential one (the OB6 gave me goosebumps straight away - so as the Take5, so it is not necessarily linked to price). I could - and I am probably wrong, it's all subjective. Finally, with a 4,000eur budget - and unless you are looking for this specific sound and vibe - I would maybe stretch myself and go to an OBx8? Or if looking for infinite sound design options, would go to a Polybrute ans save money? But a very nice machine again - well done Dave and team!

Absolutely right! I also would stretch my budget and save for a OB-X8. Extremely beautiful sounding synth and always in sweet spot. The Trigon is nice but not a matter of deep love

Do tou think it can be seen as a sort of "Budget" Moog one ? Sounds different from Demos...

I don’t think so, but I also don’t the Moog One. Just played it once. I would chose a GS-e7 over this (synth with ladder filter, 2 OSC plus 2 sub OSC and 3 LFO.

Great demo of this very interestig synth 😊 I was so decided to buy the OBX8 before this synth came out, but the T6 has the perfect interface in my opinion. It looks more fun to program with its mixer section, polymod, filter drive and feedback. More so than the OBX8 with its page 2, but the OBX8 just sound so magic. What is your impressions so far, now that you have had the T6 for a few days? Is it up there with the OBX8 or not in your opinion?

Thank you! I also reviewed the OB-X8. Sound wise the OB is much better, warm, lush and airy, it’s playing in another league. The Trigon is sounding more modern not so much classic. It’s sounding very different from prophet 6 and OB 6 as well, but it’s a sequential with its characteristics basic sound. It’s only my personal opinion.

@@vintagesynths I do love your OBX8 videos. I am norwegian, but I listened through 30 min of german review, well done :-) I do have the Super 6 now, and you comparison between the Super 6 and OBX8 gave me a sense of the OBX8 magic. I do think the Super 6 is beautiful sounding, but compared to the OBX8 it was quite sterile in your video. How do you rate the Trigon 6 against the Super 6? Is it an upgrade or just two synths in the same league?

@@geirnordheim6986 hm, super 6 is also different from Trigon. The filter design is different and also no VCO and digital Waveforms. Both play in a similar league. Maybe I prefer the S6.

I'm sorry but listening to synthesizer demos lately I've been going to behringer/korg/arturia that do the same as the more expensive ones, I'm starting to get tired of the logos and brands The only brand I still have a hard time getting rid of is Roland and his Juno / Jupiter of the others passing olympically

How do you compare it to the modal 008?

Completely different beasts. The 008 has a variable filter with drive and an animator. The sound character is very different.

@@zivdayan8919 the Trigon was just for review here. I still own the 008. It’s very special with a sonic character which is modern analog but also with a vintage twist. I prefer it over the Trigon. It’s a very unique synth, only around 200 were built, maybe less I suppose.

Six voices in 2022/23 is not acceptible at this price point. Why?? At least 50% of the case will be empty. No way they couldn't fit more voices in there. Two extra voices would add about $150 to the build cost, max. This is not a complex synth like the Polybrute, so there's no excuse.

As an owner of a Prophet 5 rev. 4, I would say that the core raw tone of the instrument is way more important than the number or voices available.

@@jettsom That's true. But I also like to play 8-note chords. For the price, they should have upped the voice-count. You can always disable them if you really want a 6-voice synth.

Again without a display where the user could name the sounds. Who remembers - what is the sound of 214 or 418? A display for a few dollars - but you won't give it ..........a machine for 4000 dollars !!!!

A display would be nice, I often make a couple of banks of 10 patches for a specific gig, and then use some masking tape and a Sharpie to help me remember. FYI, I got My T^ for $2800 brand new!

Sounds pretty good... not worth $3,500. Looks amazing, I love the light wood color with the black panel. TBH doesn't sound much different than my P08 which can do more complex stuff.

To be honest, more and more synthesizers sound similar to each other, which means they are boring. I guess that's why composers choose vst more often. greater possibilities and sound quality of beauty. Not to mention the price😊
