I'm curious if anyone has tried to "upgrade" their fan? I live in the desert and it gets so very hot. The ac blows fine but not as cold as I would like.

My sequoia is slightly overheating and I checked that fan and it's not spinning at all. Would that cuase the overheating problem or is that just to fix the cold AC?

It might help a little bit. Th AC system uses engine power to run and if the condenser is not cooling down it can radiate to the radiator and get hotter. The will also move air through the radiator which helps cool it. It's a cheap option to try.

See if the clutch fan is good. Some leak oil =bad. OR in park, have someone step on gas pedal SLOWLY ( engine warmed up) and see if fan clutch/fan goes faster good,or stays same RPM, if no change, bad.

I replaced the relay and the fan. My condenser fan is still not spinning and still no cold ac. Can you point me in the right direction on what else I should target? Not sure if adding freon will do the job permanently.

You can check the freon and see what the level is at. If it is empty the A/C will not kick on.

I have the same problem, Freon is good , relays and fuses good but I don’t have 12vlt in the fan Did you resolved it ?

@@alanflores6555 yes, had an auto shop run diagnostics. Low pressure can cause condenser fan not to spin. I was low on freon, and had leaks in the lines. Got lucky with only minor issues.

Munday !! I think my issue in mine is the relay.. do you know the location of the relay .. having a hard time finding it

It's a relay fuse box under the hood near the driver side. If you pop the back cover off and flip it over you will see a diagram that say ac relay.. I belive you can her another one from autozone.

My 04 has a loud fan noise when accelerating. Is that normal? Not clicking but just that loud blowing sound

The main clutch fan makes alot of noise while driving.

Check the cabin air filter if equipped, could be dirty or partially obstructed.
