Sera Myu Ranking - Sailor Jupiter (1993-2018)

I SWEAR I meant to record something I had it planned and everything but Tuesday my voice wasn't up for recording and Thursday I just did not feel like it so I quickly finished this instead and I will try and do it next week! Anyway with these you'll notice that a lot of this is based off the fact I do not like Sailor Jupiter, which is why I may like more... unconventional... actresses XD you'll see XD oh also I may or may not have slowed down a couple clips cos they weren't long enough to make the text fit so enjoy that XD AND yes I'm still using the lower quality NogiMyu clips when I have the HQ ones it's cos I got all the clips ages ago and I can't be bothered re-doing them.

I'm so glad to see Kanoko so high up but I didn't expect to see her as high as #2 !! She definitely is underrated as being part of the early days of the First Stage :^( . Although I haven't seen the full musicals past Marie-Jupiter's yet, I can say that the later Jupiters had a sort of "imbalance" when it comes to Mako's tomboy personality. Most were on the feminine side but there were some who were too masculine and there were a tiny few who found a middle ground (which is probably why it was hard for Jupiter to be a favorite/likable to some)! But I love Jupiter and I can agree that your top 3 are the best Jupiters I've seen!!

Omg yes Kanoko is AMAZING I'm glad you like her too!! XD soz I get over-excited about Kanoko cos I love her sm XD There was definitely a shift, the first stage ones seemed quite feminine a lot then as it got through it leaned towards masculine till you got to Mai when I personally saw no feminine qualities XD I think sometimes I get the feeling of femininity without them deliberately showing it (Emi especially) but mainly the Marina-Moon ones I just didn't get it from them XD Eee I'm glad we agree on the top 3!! :D

Omg sorry I'm replying so late but ugh YES KANOKO IS SO GOOD!! And don't apologize because I feel the same way about her too XP . And yeah that's very true! First stage got more of the feminine balance (and some of the masculine too although only a few portrayed it well) and Second Stage is where we got the perfect balance with Emi and later on it was just really debatable until it became full masculine of course, because of Mai! I honestly liked that the First Stage kinda had a feminine Mako since Makoto really wanted to show a more girly side and not be the tomboy all the time but when I saw Emi I was like...perfection. And same!! I'm really glad we can agree on those 3 💚.

My favorite would have to be Marie Sada. Don't really know why she's my favorite. I'm also glad Minami, Chiho, Kanoko & Emika are pretty high on your list. Minami & Sayuri are my favorites of Star & Chiho/Emika/Kanoko are painfully underrated.

Wow I'm glad you like a lot of the underrated Jupiters too! I guess because they had a short run people just don't take much notice of them :/ honestly Minami and Sayuri are my favourites too, I don't MIND Sayuri and technically she did well but I just prefer Mizuki, and Minami is just amazing :D

That's cool that we agree a lot! Yuu is really good though, considering the era she's from and how she played the character I'm honestly surprised I like her, but she's really good and also adorable XD

I admit I am one of those people who judge Ayano harshly for her voice. I should give her more of a chance. I was shocked to see Mai so far down cause I got the impression she was pretty popular, but maybe it's just me. Since she's the longest running Jupiter in Old Myu (which says a lot since all the other longest running Inners are from First Stage), you'd think we'd get to see a lot more of her range. I'm not sure who my fave Jupiter is TBH.

I used to, but going back over her performance I found that it really doesn't define her XD I mean Yuriko had a fairly high voice and nobody cared XD Yeah, again, I have a tendency to dislike the popular ones XD I know people might like her for certain reasons but I just don't really XD

@@SailorZakuro I guess for me Ayano just didn't sound like Jupiter with that voice. Mai has always sounded more like Makoto to me. I guess cause, like Marina and Manami, she was really young when she started, she maybe didn't sound as mature as she should. I think she did get better, but her maturing isn't as noticeable as say, Marina's. With Jupiter there are SO many actresses so I think it's hard to find a good one cause so many of them had such short runs.

Yuu Takahashi Minami Uezawa, and though not included, Junna Ito were the best Jupiters, though I think Emi and Yuriko did the best versions of Zig-Zag Slash. Ayano is a good singer, but she would have been better cast as Venus or Moon, and Mai would have been better cast and actually perfect as Uranus.
