I want to make this less of a ranking video, and more of a highlight of each actress. Yes, I put my personal opinions. However, as I said, I love every actress here and I'm happy to have given them each a spotlight!

I just realized the reason HotaruMoon sounds unstable is because she is singing so much higher than her comfortable range. But her charismatic appeal on stage is undeniable. She's such a charismatic Sailor Moon.

As someone who got into the musicals in the mid-90s as a fan of Sailor Moon as a teenager, it's probably always going to be Anza for me - songs like La Soldier and Sailor War will forever be things I sing in the car. :)

I watched one of Marina's stages. It was fun. But ANZA? That girl really made you feel whatever emotion Usagi felt when she portrayed her. I love when they perform La Soldier at the end!

I am INCREDIBLY biased, as I have spent the most time with Anza, Fumina, and Miyuki, and their shows were the soundtrack of my childhood. Personally I feel like the songwriting peaked in the 90s, and the shows had a great feeling of spontaneity and energy to them. I still support all the new casts and love to see more Sera Myu, but no one went harder than Anza and her costars.

Satomi was the first Moon I ever watched, and to this day, she's my favorite -- though I'll admit I haven't fully watched the one with Miyuki in it, and I do love the "Last Change" video she has :) While Satomi's voice wasn't perfect, the way it squeaked, rose and fell was so very Usagi-like that I didn't ever mind it. Watching her onstage, it was like she really bought into her role, like she really WAS Sailor Moon. Her improvement as a singer felt onpar with her development as a sailor and a leader. In Music of the Spheres, the way she says "everyone, let's go! / minna, ikuyo!" had me MELTING, she sounds so regal. And then her appearance as Sailor Cosmos... I truly had a fangirling moment there, she sounds absolutely fantastic. Her chemistry with Yuga Yamato also felt more believable, I think? I was pretty much sold from the first scene, where they're playing catchball and talking together. Hotaru Nomoto always seemed more awkward and stiff, but that might have been because I was still heartbroken over the OG team leaving. They were all SO good

@@solariusyuuhi2328 Well, the second musical, Transylvania no Mori had a revised version. While they are technically the same musical but updated, I consider them separate since there's enough different to make them both easily watchable!

Those are pretty awesome rankings for every Sailor Moon actresses from the Sera Myu musicals!!!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰 Each of them are just so amazing and precious as Usagi/ Sailor Moon, and really brought her character to life!!!! I love them all so much!!!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰 And I also agree with you, Miyuki definitely earned the #1 spot for best Sailor Moon as she was very bright and energetic for Usagi, I really love her when I watched her in the musicals and I feel like that she really did an outstanding job in her three musical performances. She’ll always be remembered forever as our Angel of Love & Justice, Rest In Peace, Miyuki. 🥰💖🙏🏾🌙

lmao when I first saw the lenghth of the video I thought: Omg why is this so long? This man must be talking a lot about everyone then xD And in the end you took so much effort to make a compilation for every Moon!😍 And I love how that shows the singing and acting skills in different emotions from each of them. And it proofs to me again....that there is nothing so wrong with Satomi's voice, lol. I always thought my love for her made me blind or in this case deaf for her vocals....but I really think they are not that bad? Like, I enjoy listening to her songs (unfortunately in contrary to Marina, whose over-acting even in singing is something I find hard to take.). I also like how you only say positive things about everyone 🌟🤗. And of course nice to see, that MIYUKI IS STILL THE TOPSPOT - ETERNAL QUEEN OF OUR HEARTS 💗.

My favorites are Anza (my queeeen), Sayuri and Miyuki, but I basically like all of them. Ranking them is really hard. I think my least favorite is Shiori. She's not my cup of tea, but I respect her talent. Your list is understandable, I'd love to see more like that^^

The one thing most people overlook about the first stage is when it got yume senshi, the characters began to separate itself from the Anime and Manga iterations as the actors have developed their own identities on stage that made the musical extremely popular. I know these ranking has its own comparisons on who got close to the manga or anime usagi, but to me Anza will always be the stage usagi. They had to create their own persona out of these characters on stage to make them more engaging. On top of this, she had deeper register compared to the later actresses as it projected better vocal harmony with the rest of the actors, this is one of the reasons why they hired fumina hara as she and anza had the same vocal range. Since the musical at this point was the only franchise keeping the sailor moon brand (since the anime and manga was already done), they hired miyuki as she closely resembled the anime usagi. And the rest is basically history.

The first stage will always be iconic, as it is the reason we have what we have now! This ranking is purely my opinion and what I enjoy from the show. Everyone has their favorites, and I'm glad each actress has their own fans! 💖

Anza has a very recognizeable voice too and style. She is so good, i was so surprised to hear her voice in other song she did (Like that one Sakura card captor ending i think) where i was like "wait i know that voice". Miyuki still also my number one always and forever. Marina was my first moon with 10th aniversary special story. Fumina is the one i less connected from the Bandai era for some reasons, but she great too, they all are, but Gosh Anza and Miyuki from Bandai era

Satomi is my favorite too, she just felt like she adored sailor moon her entire life and put a ton of effort into her performance. To be fair she was the first moon I watched and it was un neuvau voyage where she put a lot of emotion into her performance but even though I hadn't watched the previous myus I still cried at the end of the curtain call My favorite moment from her is when she almost starts to cry during we are the pretty guardians during the service number in la petite entrange, there was so much emotion there that other moons have yet to capture for me

Satomi is FOR SURE an amazing Moon! I believe all the Moons put in emotions (Fumina and Shiori ESPECIALLY) but Satomi felt very in-character!

I kinda wish for Miyuki to meet Satomi and Hotaru, plus Riko, if only she were alive today; unfortunately, they're visting her grave on their own time. While don't have any favourite or least favourite Sera Myu actors for each characters, I still would like Misako to meet Kanon and Karen for good because I would like the three of them to interact and have a conversation on their experiences as Sailor Mars and idols in their lives. One more thing, is Airi Kanda related to Eri Kanda? Anyways, have a good night as a regular pop culture nerd.

The highlights really put into perspective it's all about the Artistic Choice TM of the actress's surroundings. So many annoyances are literally a production team issue or the trend of the time, so if you like or hate something, it's never about the actress herself. MarinaMoon's overacting? Pretty sure every actress was told to overact in that specific way at the time. The whole "if you do X in your usual life, extend it by 150%" advice is literally that era. Ridiculously high notes? Nearly every anime musical in mid 2010s to COVID had that same issue. Everyone wanted the perfect soprano or tenor for their characters, even if it doesn't make sense for the actor or character to sing that high. Still can't forgive the sins done though. Makes you appreciate the good productions even more because you understand what bad decisions look like

I really tried to highlight every actress in their own way, cause they're all fantastic! My preferences are my own, but I think every actresses brought something special to the table and made Usagi shine in their own way!

I loved Marina the first few stages until I saw the blackface(done by a different actor) in the first Mugen stage(summer). It really made me not wanna watch it. I love her so much I just can’t and it’s sad. That one thing made me not wanna watch her stages. Anza, Miyuki and Fumina are my faves. I started watching sera myu fairly recently and I’ve grown to love the three. Especially Fumina the funniest scene is when King Endymion says that Chibiusa is also his daughter and Queen Serenity laughs. I just love the whole bit.

I had no clue what this was referring to either, so I checked. About 15 minutes into the original Mistress Labyrinth musical, a female student turns into a monster that's a spoof of the ganguro trend. (She literally keeps yelling out the word "ganguro"). It has nothing whatsoever to do with "blackface" or black people, despite what a lot of virtue-signaling western "justice warrior"-types who can't understand that Western culture isn't the only culture that exists in the world will tell you. 👀 So, mystiqueshootingstar, you can watch it now. 🤣

Unfortunately, people have been trained to think that any time someone uses makeup to darken their skin it's "blackface" and they must therefore be terribly offended by it, regardless of the person's actual intentions.
