As I said, countries which basketball is the first or second sport should be able to qualify for the Olympics more easily. The teams like Serbia, Greece, Turkey and Lithuania shouldn’t have to beat each other to qualify. What I said was pretty clear actually. In my opinion six team-representation for Europe should be increased. I respect Iran, of course they deserve to go but please just tell me strongest opponent of them in the qualification group. Serbia? Of course, no.

​@@yuntinko I have nothing against increasing the amount of teams and I am sure the organizers would love to have a longer tournament, but there are probably restrictions to that, the football tournament also only has a few teams. They can't have a tournament that is too long. I disagree that those nations should have an ''easier'' path to qualify than they already have. The qualifier tournaments already separated the best teams so they don't have to play each other. Turkey and Greece ended up in the same side with Canada based off their recent results, so they got what they earned. The others, Serbia and Lithuania got beaten by less traditionally strong basketball nations - that is tough luck. But it's not like Serbia had to beat Spain to qualify.

Aside those two, Bogdanovic and the Joker, I don't think others you mentioned (still great players, but not huge ) could have made any difference on sunday. I've seen Lucic against Armani Milano many times this year , he's strong of course, but not a superstar. Smailagic showed absolutely nothing in these years in NBA. Can't predict the future, but for the moment he's not capable to change a game like that. Milutinov is a center, you were covered in that position. Pokusevski, I don't talk because I never seen him play, I don't know. Maybe only Guduric could be helpful last night....

Italy playing 5 out with an open lane highlighted the guards finishing with some hard serbian fouls. Still not much p/r game . Spacing was excellent avoided a lot of turnovers and decent ball movement. Still a little static in off ball movement. Serbia didnt have their full complement of nba players but neither did italy. Serbia got behind early tough to dig out of 17 point hole . Cutting to 7 came too late . Italy was just more efficient and their guards didnt get enough weak side help . Italy seldom has run the 100 mark in recent years preferring a more ball control style and zone . Defense was pretty good giving up 97 however shows some holes.

Bring back defence to Serbian basketball! 2019 was the start of slow and terrible defence. Marjanović is not made for international basketball. Bjelica should return to Europe, and leave his one dimensional role in NBA. Players like Nikola Kalinić and Stefan Marković were very important to our success and defence. Surround Bogdanović and Jokić with defence and team chemistry and Serbia will be back.

Weak Team from Asia? Phi. Is 6-0 in their group.. So don't underestimate any teams because all of them are capable of winning the title. Maybe the teams in Europe just have higher chances but still even with NBA star roster. You can't assure anything.. Remember in World Cup 2019? They didn't reach even semis oh that tournament. So my point is, dont expect anything.. Even #1 team in the world cannot assure of winning the title.. Remember the Ball is round.. So anything can happen..
