The stocky mustache guy looks like the type of Disney character who reluctantly gives her princess daughter's hand in marriage who is secretely in love to a poor beggar "street-rat" on the street, but then both the stocky mustache guy and the beggar gets captured and placed into a dungeon by the crazy scorcerer villain so that the villain can marry the princess daughter himself. But then in the dungeon, the beggar street-rat convinces the stocky mustache guy that "true love between different social castes knows no bounds" (and fluffy puffy lines such as this), so the stocky mustache guy is like, "Hmmmmmm. Oh Ok! You convinced me! Will you take my daughter's hand in marriage?", and then the beggar says with a smile, "YES!", and then the beggar, the princess and the stocky mustache guy live happily ever after until the next sequel when the villain somehow comes back from the dead and then in the sequel ruins the stocky mustache guy's birthday at the beginning of the sequel's movie, solely because the beggar rightfully (at the end of the first movie) locked the evil villain up under a magical spell keeping him trapped for the next 3 years, before he managed to free himself and wreck havoc on their peaceful kingdom in the sequel...

I love how specific that is but how perfect it captures the disney cliche lol. In this game he was actually a king who became a lord, the land gets destroyed by monsters and he ends up training to defeat the villain alone but ends up meeting his grandson "the character you play as" who is someone titled "the luminary", who is the person who is destined to defeat the villain. Very cool game, quite a basic story but the characters you team up with really make the whole thing worth while. Great game!!
