Sgt. Cork returns to Whitechapel to help with a spate of burglaries. Supt. Leavis is unconvinced by his methods. When Mrs. Whitby's house is robbed he arrests Mike Good but he gets off at trial. Cork knows his methods will get justice.

I missed Marriott in this one. They didn't take much trouble to provide alternative suspects, and no social commentary to speak of. Not one of their best, but very watchable.
