Je trouve très touchant votre message dans sa simplicité et sa sincérité. Mieux vaut écrire cela que de faire référence à son passé de mélomane, du genre "j'ai entendu cette oeuvre en 1984, bla bla bla" ; ou encore, pathétiquement, "les larmes me montent aux yeux quand j'entends cette oeuvre". Au moins vous, Jocelyne, au lieu de parler de vous-même, vous remerciez ceux par qui notre plaisir et notre joie arrivent. Bravo !

An amazing interpretation of this adagio. Possibly surpasses 3 recordings by Andre Previn & the highly-rated Leningrad recording by Sanderling. The key to rating this recording is the solo melody played on the clarinet where Bychov powerful interpretation excels over others.
