Apparently this is so because 1. He is more active, so there would be more title defences and 2. More exciting in that he doesn't go the full 12 rounds most of his fights his style leads to plenty stoppages and knockouts while Ward typically gets the decision without stopping his opponent.

Kovalev seemed a little more nervous to me, this may be the 1st time in a while a guy wasn't intimidated entering the ring with him. That could rattle him early. I could see him lunging early, and Ward holding and counter punching early. Then when fight settles in, I could see Kovalev a bit befuddled at how to get off. Not sure who wins just how I see it early. Glad it's finally here. This one may be more of who is tougher mentally. Ward has to overcome pain to win. Kovalev has to overcome skills, and a bit of frustration to win. Who does that better? That's who wins.
