Exactly I don’t necessarily think he got a better pass vision likes of xavi x Paul scholes x a xabi or Pirlo but one thing he got over other central midfielders is he press resistance x intelligence and reading of the game which makes him control how his team wants to play

Busquets, Xabi Alonso, Javier Mascherano, 3 of the best modern defensive midfielders. All 3 were strong defensively, could run all day, ball skills, superior passing, and a strong shot when needed.
