If Virginia an illegal state it doesn't matter where the plants were found/legal, you will get charged where you are caught. Illegal states used to stop legal shipments just because they could and those people would He charged on the illegal state laws, not the legal state. From what I know, even though it's legal state wise here in Cali it is still ILLEGAL federally...meaning the state doesn't care but grow at your own risk & if the feds find out the state won't get involved. So if the Feds charged him it doesn't matter what state he had the grow farm in, the Feds have jurisdiction nationwide. The way the prosecution and his lawyer handled this case was unorthodox but.....not many people will sympathize because whether on drugs or not, he was still willing to sell his friends out anyway. To be honest this should've have been a federal case being that involved two different states and Virginia should not be able to convict on something that is happening in another state. But I have heard Virginia is a corrupt state and they like putting people in prison. The only way Virginia can put this into their case as if the product was being sold in Virginia which that would be hard for the state to figure out and being that weed is legal in Cali it seems to me they are trying to make an example out of him it has nothing to do with the law.
