Majority of the people who have Bottega Veneta bags by Daniel Lee are usually ones who know or do fashion and wear street style. It’s not just about status or statement of a designer bag. I think most of the youtubers who talk about luxury wants to play safe and that they can get their money back since it’s “worth the investment” to why they are more Chanel, Hermès, Dior and Louis Vuitton. I do agree it’s a very understated bag.

i actually hate how much bottega took off the past few years. like it used to be kinda under the millennial radar cos it's shit that our gramas wore and then a kardashian or a jenner or something busted it out and now it feels like a fad or something. sucks too cos I just went to town in there and bough some shoes and trousers that are definitely gonna get played out by that fam.

The presale market is over saturated with designer bags. Those who buy these 5000+ dollar bags often play it safe, agreed. I personally (do not take offense) would never buy a BV in black. If Bottega can take one award it would be for having some of the most amazing colours (Jacqemus comes second). Blacks belong to YSL or Prada, if you are going to pay that kinda money let that bag sing with colour. People who buy bags only to flip them will find it a challenge, especially if these bags are still in circulation. No one wants to pay more for a bag on presale that they can get cheaper on the Fashion Houses website or somewhere like Farfetch that have flash sales.

For the padded cassette bag, do you find the outer calfskin surface to be durable and resistant or is it prone to wear and scratches easily? Is it really shiny? I believe BV has since switched to all lambskin for the padded cassettes and it looked more matte now.
