The problem with traditional pike tactics is that they focus overwhelmingly on center of mass, puncturing a heart or lung, which is mostly useless against a zombie unless you get lucky enough to sever the spine in one blow, which in turn cripples it, but doesn’t stop it flailing and biting.

The only way the zombies could have won this was to swamp the Spartans, meaning literally to create a tidal wave of their vastly superior numbers and just head-long nose dive into the Spartan ranks until they were blanketed. Then the zombies could have nibbled their way downward to where the Spartans were being crushed. Happily, the zombies have no real mental capacity and did not see this advantage. Being dead from the onset, the zombies didn't have much to lose.

cr1m1nalspeed Good point, because the thing here is, Spartans were fundamentally focused on pike tactics, which is overwhelmingly focused on piercing a foe’s general area close to center of mass, such as the heart, lung, or stomach, which is useless against a 🧟‍♂️ unless you are lucky enough to punch through the spine, which in turn only cripples it, allowing it to still flail and bite at your ankle. Pike tactics would actually be very weak if your foe’s only reliable weak spots are their heads. Against a normal foe, he can slam through his middle, full force, either instantly killing through the heart or lung, or debilitating him through agonizing stomach wounds that puts him out of commission if not an instant kill. The Spartan can then quickly pull out without losing his footing, generally being able to estimate on the fly the exact center of mass, which would vary a bit depending on the enemy’s armor and baggage. But with zombies, if they figure out their weakness in time, (and in a superstitious panic they might not), Hitting the head full force would cause a counterweight effect throwing the Spartan off balance, making him vulnerable to another zombie before he could regain his posture. Pike tactics are NOT suitable for repeated head strikes.

Why dont you ever let the battles finish? Besides you wasted alot of time when you did 20000 vs 20000 that was stupid all because the ration of 1 to 10 wasn't possible at first battle but any logic would have suggested he probably could have killed 1:3 or maybe 1;5 so why you went overboard and evened them out was just facepalm.
