2 reasons the archers died quickly. 1 a bullet will kill more than 1 person. arrows kill 1per shot. 2 arrows have a much shorter range. the rear archers are most likely killing the front ones, or they aren't contributing at all.

even in the simulator, theres something interesting. Bullets, as fast they could go, dont turn or bend in the air. But arrows do. behind the hill where there was the remaining archers, they could make a lot of damage to us soilders, without getting hit.

If these were longbows i think they would win..taking into account only the 2/3 front rows of marines could fire ,whilst all 70,000 archers could and many arrows per minute.

Here again I think the best solution for the US side would be to enfilade, but this time make use of ground cover as well. It would be even more important to stay out of arrow range, because gun range is a longer distance. I would not have allowed the US soldiers to approach that closely in the first place. The archers, on the other hand, would be advantaged if they claimed the high ground first, enfiladed the US troops and were able to sneak in closer using as much ground cover as they can find. Still might not win but...

Another advantage the archers could claim is to stay behind the hillocks and make use of the angles of shooting they're afforded, since their aim would be more accurate at steeper angles than you could get with guns. This is because arrows or bolts are much slower than bullets and so they arc more when fired. This might save them being hit as much since in order to get lead over the hills and onto targets, the riflemen would have to aim at very, very high angles which are wildly inaccurate and would lose a lot of momentum with the total distance traveled by the bullets.

If this was reality, English Archers would have won this easily. The Tommy gun was not powerful and the drop zone was miserable. In fact if you had real archers from the Agincourt time, the English Archers would have picked them of very quickly and would have won, as long as they held their distance.

The depth of the US soldiers is a problem because the ones at the back can't shoot through the ones at the front. The archers do not have this problem because they can shoot up and over the ones at the front This is not a good simulation.

the 45 cal Thompson is not that accurate passed 20 yards.....on full auto it was a beast to control. now, make those bars I could see it. there would be way more American dead. the archers farther away be wouldn't be hit. the archers would not have been running to get closer. so, this is an epic fail. I am a 20 year military vet and I say "horseshit" on this.

Good point. Of course the marines can shoot faster and shoot while moving forward which didn't happen here. The shooting through the person at the front can be explained in part by considering that a firing line would have the first couple of ranks crouching, the next kneeling, the next leaning forward then the next standing. The guys in the last ranks could lift their weapons above their heads and fire like over a wall - hard on the shoulders but doable. The question would be are you more likely to receive a wound that stops you fighting from an arrow or a bullet? I suspect the marines would have a better chance to keep firing even with an arrow stuck in them than an archer who is shot because of the extra effort needed to fire arrows. Also archers have to mass their arrows to improve their chances of hitting the enemy meaning they have to stand close together. If the marines were standing in ranks further apart they'd have a much better chance of reducing casualties while not reducing their killrate but perhaps the engine doesn't work that way.

It is a game. But a real problem is the US soldiers were armed with Thompson sub machine which has a high rate of fire but has a limited range about 170 (510 Ft.) yards. More typical would be M1 rifle or a Browning Automatic Rifle which fires a round which has a effective range of about 500 (1500 Ft.) yards and up close can take not just one but two or three persons if they are lined up. They would have wiped out nearly all the archers before they got within range.

ranged units shoot with 100% acuracy and all together in reality the soldiers from behind would be unable to shoot without killing their own. archer would be in a bit of advantage at least the archer from behind its cool soldiers would prolly win ... but again this simulator is false... range units are allways in advantage 10000-1 they have crazy attack speed 100% acuracy 0sec reload time unending arrows/bullets watching simulator sux ... the same goes for the jedi vs spartans jedi would cramble and fall they are humans... they are not tireless... many many wrong things going on.

CatSquirrel1337 There's plenty of other channels that do that. Go to one of those instead of trying to make him change his recording strategy, and stuff. If you want just game play without talking, there's literally hundreds of other youtubers that do this.
