Wow, what a piece of history! Seeing the serial number one International 3588 is incredible. It’s amazing that it was saved from a salvage yard and restored to showroom quality. Hats off to Jerry and Glenn for preserving this gem

Spent the my entire spring break in a 3588 in the spring in 1985. The air conditioner blew cold and the FM stereo made those long 13 hour days go by fast. In fact, it was the last tractor I would operate on the farm working with my dad. I went to college and ended up in emergency services. But the memories are strong and the itch to get back to farming is always there.

I am a big 2+2fan and it was great to see this one for sure! Glad it was saved from the scrap yard. That would have been a real shame to lose it. He sure got an excellent price.

Awesome tractor! I love hearing stories from the early years of farming. They all need to be recorded to keep the history alive! Keep up the great work on your channel!

I farm with a 3588. I got mine in Wisconsin. That fellow pulled it out of the weeds in North Dakota. I love the 2+2! I would never do tillage with a 2 wheel drive ever again. I bought my first 2+2 in 1991 when i was21 years old. It was a 3388. I've had a 2+2 on the farm ever since.

I have never seen an IH 2+2 tractor and that’s a great sight to see an original one. That 2+2 was a unique tractor. It would have been pretty interesting to see what could have been done with it if International Harvester had been able to stay in business. Have you heard of Antonio Carraro tractors Jason? I saw one a year ago at the Sunbelt Ag Expo in Moultrie, GA. It was like a smaller version of the IH 2+2.

Dad had a 3388 and Mum pulled the leveller over the fields before they were seeded back in to grass. This was mid 80's. I still regard the 2+2 as one of the most enjoyable tractors I've ever operated out here in New Zealand. Thanks

My dad had one when I was a kid, but i don't much remember riding in it. When he sold it, the neighbor down the road bought it and painted shark teeth on both sides of the nose, and it was forever known as "Sharky" for the 30+ years he had it. He retired and sold it, not sure where it went.
