@@dc4825 The comment makes perfect sense. When Mel was on, she would take the seals off the tasks first thing. In the Q word task, they had to look under the seal to see the secret message. Mel would've seen the secret message before reading the rest of the task, so she would've won.

Only 18 minutes in, I gotta say I am already in love with the vibes of this new season. Absolutely ludicrous prize task category? Check. Seeing the first task play out before we know what it is? Very fun. The slowest contestant getting 5 points by a pure fluke of luck? Perfection. Taskmaster is back, baby!!!

100% Agree. I do regret that Johnny Vegas (one of my faves) and his group didn't get a live audience due to covid, although we never would have gotten the moment of silence that season with a crowd, which I consider a Top 5 TM moment for me, so there's a balance, lol.

No, that's not what he said. He said that he doesn't think he would be funny on this type of show, that he wouldn't come up with anything clever or witty and would just take all the tasks too literally and awkwardly.
