This show has brought me so much joy during the isolation of the COVID pandemic. I watched all 5 seasons and immediately started it over again. I've never done that before. I really hope there will be a 6th season. The writer said writing the show was like an anti-depressant. I feel the same way about viewing it.

We watched all 5 seasons in a week. We love the quality of reality in the dialogue, and we would follow this cast anywhere. If you see Nicola and / or Sarah listed in any cast, it's worth watching!!

It is such a wonderful show to watch and it just shows that people want that kind of TV, and not the other rubbish that’s on TV at the moment .It was so successful because it appealed to so many age groups and it is really is what is needed on TV at the moment. Sally Wainwright is nothing short of brilliant and the actors were absolutely amazing.It is so lovely to see a show about older people, there’s plenty of us and we lead interesting and varied lives. Let’s see more of this kind of TV it is much needed.!

My mum came to Canada in 1954, but born on an Elland farm,Halifax, then living in Worthing. I visited Wainstalls, Halifax and Elland 5 years ago, then came across this show. I absolutely love it. I’ve always loved Sarah and Nicola, and the landscape and photography is outstanding.

Kathryn Miller Although I now live away from Yorkshire,I spent much time as a musician in the area in which the show takes place. In fact the place where lunches and weddings take place,is now Holyfield house,but when I played there each Saturdayevening,it was a private Cavalier Country Club.Even the late owners remind me of Anne and Derek.She very posh,he down to earth Yorkshireman. I love the whole series and wish it would go on forever.Thank you Sally Wainwright for writing it,and all the great actors taking part.

Thank you Sally Wainwright for. Creating this wonderful show in my old “ hunting ground” as a young guy I used to play music in early 60s in what was Cavalier Country Club,The owners were very much like your two main characters.She rather posh and he a down to earth Yorkshireman with flat cap! Those days would probably make a series! What withBeatles staying there,love affairs,dealing with the owners each with his and her differing ideas etc. You have made an old man very happy and hope that there will be further series whilst the cast are together.

Last Tango is a wonderfully written show. So very authentic. Very good acting by all of the characters. I started watching the show in March of 2021 in America and I have watched it several times. I have even watched several interviews about this show with Sally W. and Sarah L..as guest. No matter how many interviews I watch, I never hear any of the interviewers discuss in detail with Sarah L. her role in the show even though she won an award for her performance. I have not been able to find one interview with Nina Sosanya. Let us not forget. Kate is the other half to Caroline. Its (the lesbian relationship) like the elephant in the room as it relates to Last Tango. Admittedly, it was a bold move to put on television a romantic love affair and marriage between two middle age women, but it was done so beautifully and to tell you the truth, the relationship between Kate and Caroline is such a big part of the show. In fact after Kate was killed off, the show became a little bit boring. I would love to see an interview with Nina and Sarah together.

Make her a bit edgier, maybe a bit flirtatious with Gillian at first. I don't care how hokey or cliche that plot sounds, this crazy world needs Nina and Sarah back together again!

The biggest mistake Sally made was killing off Kate from the show. The two ladies had so much chemistry and they made you feel like they were a real couple. It was a bad decision and going forward I would like to see Caroline with another black woman. She vibes well with black women and the old saying goes, if it ain't broke don't fix it. On a side note, Sally once again made a HUGE mistake! In the new season she casted an Indian girl to be Kate's child. HELLO, in what universe does a black woman and white man make an Indian child😯. I don't know what casting firm they used, but they need to fire them and recast the daughter of Kate as a true biracial child. Extremely disappointed one again 😔😔😔

Racism always play in part in these all white shows. If a black person happen to be in the show or movie. ..who is the first to get killed ...always the black person. So I am not surprise that Kate was killed and a Indian girl is playing the part of a biracial child .

In Caroline and Kate 's relationship, the bottom line was not about race, but about a well-written script and plus Kate 's personal charm and charisma. The education and intelligence of actress Nina (Kate) is visible from afar and understandable even to us in Russia; -). So some softness of Kate 's character (creative personality), so harmoniously combined with Caroline 's intelligence and directness. And the fact that Sally took Kate out of the series is a mistake. Perhaps she wanted to let Sarah L. demonstrate her skill in dramatic play. In any case, "only someone who does nothing is not mistaken." Sally is "an artist, she sees it that way";)... Образованность и интеллигентность актрисы Нины (Кейт) видны издалека и понятны даже нам в России;-). I just picked it up again after a few year having passed.I also agree with you on the casting of Flora.Not all mixed children come out half of each parent it would have been nice to see a child that looked more like Kate (Even though she has grown on me it would be great seeing how she’s the only person of color on the show at the moment)

Lashonda, Bingo on both points. I think they should either find a way to bring Kate back as a twin, cousin, or someone Caroline will fall in love with. I would like to see Caroline do the chasing for once. If not Kate, then another beautiful black woman. As opposites in race, they had wonderful chemistry together. Not to mention how interesting and current it made their relationship Finally, I have been thinking for five months now that although the little 5yr girl(Flora) is lovely, she does not represent a biracial child from a person who is of African decent and Caucasian. Did Sally and the casting crew think that would go unnoticed? I noticed it right away.

Series 4 is actually two episodes, a Christmas/Holiday Special. These episodes are not on Netflix as near as I can tell. What Netflix shows as series 4, is actually series 5. Depending on where you live (assuming you live in the United States), you may be able to catch these episodes on your local PBS station. They are also available on Amazon Prime for rental; that is where I watched them.

Why do the writers for the BBC seem to have to involve Brexit in everything they write, is it written into their contracts? Yet another drama where anyone who voted for Brexit is portrayed as a Daily Mail reader / unsympathetic/ probably racist, yet the anti Brexit character is a Guardian reader / kind and caring / sympathetic and wonderful. This is the third drama with this theme I have come across- there may be more - and I'm getting really angry. You have destroyed my enjoyment of this series. It is only the wonderful actors that keeps me watching.
