Hahaha you have a same problem with me, choosing the right planner... i am still in doubt with one I have to use FP B6 or Jibun Techo B6. Thanks for the video

I am team Hobonichi Weeks! But it is my holy grail planner. I have tried both sizes of the Jibun Techo and while I like them they don't work for me. The narrow columns and predefined structure of the JT frustrated me. I have a lot of "anytime this week" tasks that are not day specific so the weeks works better for me. I did not have enough space for that in the JT. I also love how the weeks is small, lightweight and yet you can fit a ton of information in it! Especially with the mega. By the way I have really enjoyed watching this series and seeing how you set up the various planners. I got some new ideas so thank you!

I've enjoyed this series of videos as I am going through the EXACT same struggles!!! I've been using a Weeks Mega since December, which I thought was perfect, but 1) Its a little too small (but LOVE the portability) and 2) I've realized that much of the "collections"that I've used the extra notes pages for are things that will carry from year to year, not just 2018 specific... soo, I've just ordered the Jibun Biz B6 slim and plan to put all of my long term collections in the Life & Idea books, plus I can designate a separate Idea book as my work planner... I hope! We think so much alike!! I hope you can get a grip on what works best for you!!!

I have really enjoyed all 3 of these videos, and how your mind works for your planning. Of course I am Team Hobonichi Weeks, I love the size and the portability. Great videos!! Kerry :D

I agree about the Weeks. It has everything you need and is portable. I ended up buying the Cousin as well as I was convinced I NEEDED the vertical weekly and the daily pages. I'm enjoying trying different types of planning/journaling in it. However, I think that my favourite would be the Weeks and will probably get the MEGA version next year. I would use the Cousin cover for my regular journal next year.

I bough the B6 FC from someone who had already purchased it but when I bought the A6 version I purchased it from Rakuten and paid $25 plus $20 in shipping. Here is the link to the B6. I understand they are available on Amazon Japan as well. global.rakuten.com/en/store/franklinplanner/item/10005278/

I'm probably a little biased but definitely A - Hobo Weeks. You are nicely setup, everything works and fits. As you talk through these there are issues with the Jibun in both sizes - its like something is not quite right whereas you don't seem to do as much of that with the Weeks. Plus, the Weeks is compact, all in one and not separate books that you would have in comparison to the B6 Jibun. I get the appeal with the Jibun and your dilemma. Sorry, but not sure if that helps.

Hobonichi weeks. It holds it all and is easily carried with you.

What a pretty B6 Appunto you have there! :) . I'm a fan of the A5 for planning....I think it is the perfect size, not too big not too little. I use the Hobo cousin, I dont like writing small & besides shading/sheening inks look much prettier with larger writing! I use the weeks and B6 for other things like tracking spending, exercise routines (weight lifting/cardio),Ink journal, Calligraphy/handwriting practice, etc.

I love that Franklin planner! Why can’t they offer that here? They’d sell out every year from people who don’t want to deal with shipping from Japan. Actually, never mind, then the months would have Sunday start, which to make makes zero sense.

I would definitely go with the Weeks. You've got a good, functional layout that you use VERY efficiently. It's less to carry around (in both volume and weight), and iirc there's nothing you can do in any of the larger binders that you can't comfortably do in the Weeks? I'm definitely Team Weeks :D

I am personally using the B6 Slim set up you suggest. But my writing is small so it works for me. One question... it appears that your writing in the weeks needed to be just as small as the A5 Jibun. Did that not bother you? If not go for the weeks... I personally prefer the hourly structure of the Jibun. Previously in a weeks, my appointment ended up out of order as I wrote them in. That was a deal breaker for me.

Very good point!

I agree with the other comments. I would not suggest the B6 Jibun because you did not seem too happy about how thin the columns were. I also think the Weeks is the most portable and is already setup. But I am partial to the Weeks, personally.

Definitely the Hobo weeks, less weight to carry and everything you need is at a glance. But maybe I'm biased because I go for team Hobonichi.
