@@zenaalany4807 as I said I talk about that in option videos. In almost all situations the cost basis in stock is the breakeven. The exception is a covered call and a put not bought at the same time as the stock. It is low probability and does not warrant coverage here or In a seperate video.

Thanks for this. I take my series 7 tomorrow. My only weakness is spreads. Debit and credit spreads. A bit confusing, but I'm gonna stick to your logic and find a number within the SP. I'll let u know if I pass or fail tomorrow :)

The breakeven is not based on debit or credit. It is based on whether it is a call spread or put spread. If it is a call spread (debit or credit) add the net premium to the lower strike (CAL=Call Add Lower). If it is a put spread (debit or credit) subtract the net premium from the higher strike (PuSH=Put Subtract from the Higher). Sending you good test vibes.

Using Pass perfect and some of the formulas given in the course content are the following: Advance/Decline Index ratio, Rights (cum), and Rights (ex), Inventory and Accounts Receivable turnover ratios, Book Value per common share, Debt Service Coverage ratio and Bond Interest coverage ratio. Hello Sir, Your videos have been extremely helpful. Recently I passed SIE, and I’m in Academy studying for Series 7. Two guys in the academy just took 7, and stated there were Yield to Maturity calculations. Have you heard this from anyone recently?

No. You are tested on the relationship of yield to maturity to the nominal yield, current yield and yield to call NOT its calculation. That can lead to what looks like a question about calculation but is not.

Dear Dean, please do remind me you had answer this to me before but I can’t find where I had asked you. If a questions was to have working capital, current ratio and acid\ Quick ratio which will be for liquidity if all 3 are liquidity? I believe you had said Acid\Quick ratio but I have my doubts.

First of all Thank you! BUT... why were Preferred stock yields multiplied by PAR (22:13) and if I did the same for Common stocks (19:57) 4.6% x 100 it doesn't equal $1.40? Are Preferred stocks exclusively traded on PAR?

Common stock par isn't used. In common stock simply take dividend divided by current market price. Preferred don't trade at par. They are issued at par and the dividend is expressed as a percentage of par.

On the debt to equity ratio, the long term debt is the bonds and the total capitalization is the bonds PLUS the equity? so its bonds divided by bonds+equity??
