Very cool track, the sub bass is sick. How did you do it ?
@tricks-and-tips7 ай бұрын
Thanks man. It's the Minitaur, routed through the Art Tube MP Studio V3 for a bit of tube distortion. This gives a bit of an edge which makes it sound better on small speakers (IMHO) and then the Deco V2 for chorus and more saturation :) The Minitaur does not 'need' this per se, but I like to have some extra sound shaping options as it is relatively basic in that regard.

@@tricks-and-tips aaaah I knew there was a chorus on that one! That's a well crafted sound. Kind of the analog version of the Basement preset on good old Massive

@@subaphonicyeah, the Deco V2 works nice for these sounds :) Thanks man!

As you say "serious and slow" Almost a bit sad. On another note. Congratulations to your new Mini 3 Pro.
@tricks-and-tips7 ай бұрын
Yeah, it's kind of sad indeed. Thanks. It was 'only' 2 batteries, the 3 way charger, a set of props and a 30W charger that I ordered. I have bought the Mini 3 Pro some months ago when it was one sale, but chose the package without the FMC to be able to save some more.

Yes, now I saw it was under the heading POLL mini 3 Pro V Air 3 on 25.8.2023. Did not look at the date then. Sorry.@@tricks-and-tips

I'm wondering if the MC707 effects could replace the Collider. I don't think they're bad and I don't need to spend a lot of extra money on an effects pedal like the Collider.
@tricks-and-tips7 ай бұрын
Good question! Think outside the box (pun intended). I bought my Collider before I bought my 707 and when I first started using the 707, I never used the Collider with it. I am thinking about doing a comparison video, because the 707 reverbs are not bad at all. In fact, I always use them on my jams. The main reason why I'm using the both Collider AND the reverb of the 707 is flexibility. This way I can send my drums through a different reverb than my tonal instruments. The drums (mainly tops and snare) get a nice shorter reverb from the 707. And I also often use a bit of delay on the drums from the 707. All tonal stuff is sent out of the 2nd stereo pair and that gets treated with the Collider. So this way, I can have 2 different reverbs. One for drums and one for tonal stuff. Usually the tonal stuff gets a longer 'lush' delay. Now I do feel the Collider is 'better' at this longer stuff, so that is why I choose the Collider over the 707 reverb for that. I'm thinking, maybe doing a comparison video if I have the time, because the 707 deserves more love for its FX from me :)

@@tricks-and-tips Very good idea with the comparison

I just tried some last night and I have to say I'm impressed with the 707 reverbs. I tried all of the types it offers and some were better than I expected. It will take some time to make some make video out of it, but I'll keep you posted when I have it ready.
